Absolutely blew me away. The person who runs it is top notch on John Brown knowledge. Going to visit again if possible! Experienced an overwhelming sense of just how much Brown and his extended family sacrificed (i.e. everything). One of the best things I've ever done.
I enjoyed visiting this famous Historic site and definitely worth checking out. There's so much to learn of what happened here.
Pretty Interesting. Staff was helpful and Knew the information ! John Brown was a bit crazy and without a doubt Extreme, but his cause was Noble !!
It is a really nice little museum. Very informative about John Brown's story. Nice little park on the grounds for kids to play. Markers through out the park explaining the battle.
John Brown was a pivotal figure in Kansas and US history. Hero to some, villain to others. The John Brown Museum sheds some light on the man and on Bleeding Kansas. Curator was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The museum contains many personal artifacts from Brown and his family. A fantastic stop if you’re interested in the history of the Border War. One area to be aware of, Osawatomie is doing lots of roadwork and infrastructure upgrades, we had to work out a roundabout way to get to the museum and memorial park, avoiding road and street closures. All in all, a great way to spend the morning. Osawatomie is a nice town and the museum is great representation of Kansas and US history.
This museum is great. Bring cash for a donation or souvenir and check out the historical places on the tour map.
This was very beautiful. The woman who was in charge was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable.
So much history! Could have spent so much more time in this park.
