Stopped by while shopping for a quick lunch. I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my food. The turkey was juicy and thick cut and the vegetables, green beans and thinly sliced carrots, were fresh and crisp, not overcooked or frozen. I was also pleased that attention was paid to my very serious food allergy, as this is always a struggle.
Came by for the first time in 35 years today. I remember when this place was The Ground Round. In some ways, it hasn’t changed. The stage where they used to have the guitar guy is still there - it’s just tables on top now. But enough about the old days. Sat at the bar and the bartender, Kira, was amazing. Friendly and attentive. Ordered the steak tips and they were great. A good crowd for the pats game - but all friendly and good natured. Glad the place is still going strong. A great neighborhood place that I hope lasts another 45 years.
Great place good atmosphere. Food and service was good. Must try their Buffalo Chicken Dip!!!
Such yummy choices!! The Buffalo chicken dip was a pretty good start but my turkey apple wrap was SO tasty!! This place is something to consider
We came on a weekday between 4-6 when appetizers were half off, it was a great deal! The portions were huge and the service was great. We brought our toddler, and the atmosphere was very child friendly.
JB’s has been here a while and is pretty good. It’s like most pub style restaurants. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Wednesday is $5 burger night so that’s a nice option. Lots of different beers on tap and mine was always delivered to the table ice cold. It’s not food related but I love the historical pictures of Waltham and it’s old businesses that are hanging throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be back again with friend for more beers and burgers.

Ate a nice dinner outdoors. Had a salad with salmon, a glass of wine, and freshly baked gluten free bread. Service was excellent. Wine is quite reasonably priced. Come with your kids or your date. Sit at the bar and watch a game if you prefer.
