John B Mahaffey Museum Complex - Army museum in Fort Leonard Wood - 495 S Dakota Ave #1607, USA

The museum is a must if you are visiting Ft Leonard Wood. With the history of three branches all in one museum, it is worth your time. The history of the Engineers and the Chem Corps is wrapped in the modern history of our country. It is time for engineer portion to replace many of the printed displays as the words have faded over the years and recommend improved lighting to read some of the incredible history of the Engineers. The Chem Corps portion was set up very nicely and gave a glimpse into a key part of our military history. Make the trip and enjoy the museum.

I was given the opportunity to enjoy this museum during my son’s graduation. It’s three museums and one. So many amazing exhibits extremely informative and educational. If you get the opportunity, I would definitely recommend visiting this amazing museum.

We enjoyed everything the museum had to offer. There were plenty to look at and get ready to spend a half day in there to really appreciate everything..a person has to really appreciate the time and details that they put into this establishment..there is also a few different gift shops inside.

Very interesting and well laid out. Different sections that show specific topics. It took us 2 trips to get to see the entire museum. I learned a lot of things I never knew about.

Visited the museum while attending a graduation of a family member. It is inside Fort Leonard Wood so not sure if the public is allowed. Entrance is free and there was no wait time to enter. You can make a donation at the entry way. Very informative and would love to visit again. There was so much to see and wish I’d taken more pictures. There are several tanks parked across from the museum that we didn’t get to take a closer look.

The visit here was amazing. It truly showcased many areas of the military that one might not even consider takes place. It was enjotable to see and learn from this experience. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the additional effort put into the displays shown throughout. Huge appreciation! Thank you.
