Fantastic spot! We got a table quick on a Saturday and ordered the chicken fried steak, shrimp po boy, and for apps shared a cup of shrimp & crawfish etouffee and a plate of fried green tomatoes with shrimp (our favorite!) and everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and prices were good too. Would happily go again.

We stopped here as part of a local food tour and had the red beans and rice. This was honestly my first time having the dish so I wasn't sure how I'd like it (I'm picky about sausage as a country girl). But I must say, it was delicious. The service was great and it was obvious this is a popular place with the locals. Will return next time we visit NOLA.

Joey K’s has been around 32 years. Dustin was our server and did a 5 star job. Very casual and laid back. The quarters are tight. I ordered the club and it was decent. Would recommend for Magazine street eateries if you’re looking for casual low key New Orleans style food and environment with a clean environment and fair prices.

I’d say this one is more 4.5 stars because of the service (or lack of). The food is great and is good value for the portions you get. It could just be the seating location we were given by the staircase, but our server took a very long time to come get our order and we had to ask someone to find him to get our check. It was a very souring experience when we really enjoyed the food. If we come back to the area we might give it another try.

On our visit to Magazine St. we passed by Joey K’s and decided to split an appetizer (the seafood and sausage gumbo) which was delicious. We sat at the bar and I had their Pimm’s Cup which was great too. The servers were friendly and attentive and overall the place had a casual laid back atmosphere. We’re glad we passed by and would definitely stop in again the next time we’re in the area.

I was blessed to be told by a Local about this place. I was wandering around and this nice man gave me some places to go eat and this was top on his list!! I just wish I would have met him sooner it was my last full day. What a charming place and the food was OUTSTANDING!! I wish i was sitting in the front room I love all of the signs. we were taken into the 2nd dining area and it was just another place to eat. Definitely sit in the front room if you get the opportunity ;)

Really enjoyed our first meal in NOLA and this is where we ate. Great reputation and it didn't disappoint. The place was very busy on a Tuesday lunch with a mix of "us tourists", lol, and many locals. Service was excellent. Friendly, confident, fast and great menu knowledge. Comes from great training, so kudos to management and/or ownership. Fried Green Tomatoes were perfect. The Jambalaya was a tad dry but loaded with meat and was EXTREMELY tasty. My wife's salad with Blackened Shrimp was fabulous and PACKED with local Shrimp. Very reasonably priced and, again, fabulous young lady server. We WILL return the next rime we are in NOLA.

Wasn't as good as expected. A bus driver from the city recommended it, although it was a good experience. Trout was good, Catfish was good. Jambalaya wasn't great. Sausage was cut small with little spreads of chicken.
