Honestly every was super salty. I don’t think I had ever tried to eat anything this salty. Is like they try to overcompensate the lack of good seasoning with salt. Portions of burnt ends was sad and not burnt at all. Just regular overpriced pieces of beef cut in squares. Overall 3 out of 5.

This is one of the best BBQ spots I’ve tried. The portions are massive and the flavors are amazing! I got the Rocket Pig and a side of Mac and Cheese. The jalapeños on the sandwich made for a spicy, yet tasty, bite. Also loved the seasoning they added to the Mac n cheese. Oh and the onion rings are top notch. You will not leave here hungry or unsatisfied!

To Go order. Well packed, plenty of pickles, sauce and glorious smoked meat!! RIBS ARE THE GO TO ORDER!!!! Brisket is sliced too thin for my liking but to each their own. Burnt ends and sausage were good but maybe would be great if eaten in house. Definitely worth every cent!

I was a little worried seeing a line out the door and I had a 2 year old and 9 month old BUT I am so glad I did! It was about 25 minutes in line and we had our food. Finding a table was easy! We sat and met the sweetest people in line so the line was such a fun time :) we ordered burnt ends and were in love! We also had ribs that were really good and amazing dirty rice! And super yummy corn! The ribs were good but I thought the burnt ends were better. They have tons of high chairs so you don’t have to hunt one down. My kids happily ate so I can’t be anymore happy! We will be back!

We had to make a stop at KC Joe's while traveling from WI to TX. Love that they've opened additional locations. We walked right in, got our food and a table immediately during lunch hour. Food was superb and as good as the original location. Hard to pass up on the ribs, but the Chicken Z-Man was fantastic and worth every extra dime.

I have always liked Joe's BBQ. This is the first time I have come to this location but the food was still awesome! Had the rocket pig and it was great as usual. If you get a chance to swing by make sure you do, you won't regret it. The staff is also nice. They move you thru pretty quick but they are still very nice.

The food was great!! They definitely have the process of ordering and receiving your food down to a science. Overall a great experience and we will be back

First off, to be frank - it was kind of embarrassing seeing this is one of the best reviewed BBQ joints in KC. Tasted their brisket, pork, ribs, and sausage. Pork was best of four - decent smoke ring and flavor, decent moisture content. 6/10. Brisket - minimal smoke ring or flavor. Minimal moisture content (borderline dried out), and VERY thinly sliced. Odd. 4/10. Ribs are difficult - one (out of three) was VERY good. Great smoke flavor, super moist, melted in your mouth. The other two were borderline flavorless. Zero smoke flavor. Borderline dried out. Overall for ribs 5/10. Sausage didn't emulsify - could taste the meats weren't blended. Minimal smoke flavor. Only moderate moisture. 4/10. Overall - this wasn't BAD. Certainly not bad for it being a fast food type BBQ. It definitely was fast and the atmosphere was great. Very clean. BUT - falls FAR short from excellent BBQ. And for sure should not be used to gauge proper KC BBQ.
