Jimmy's Egg - Restaurant in Norman - 1000 E Alameda St, USA

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jimmy's Egg, and I must say, the experience was outstanding! The food was not only delicious but also served promptly and hot. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Jimmy's Egg for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience with excellent food and service.

The service was good. The food, otoh, was less than good. The toast was cooked in something that didn't taste like butter. It was soggy and only resembled toast in appearance. Once you picked it up and actually tasted it, that was the end of the toast experience. It tasted like it was pan fried in grease. Not butter. Old grease. It's just toast, right? Not for me. When I'm eating eggs, toast is the great pairing to those yolky eggs. Without a good toast, the yolk is useless. How disappointing. Then, there was the bacon. It was almost done, but not quite. Maybe bacon should be ordered like steak and people should be asked how they like it cooked. Pretty rare isn't something most people are going to ask for their pork to be, but hey. To each their own. I think it was smoked so that probably killed anything lurking, hopefully. The pancakes and eggs were good.

Emily was amazing! The iced cinnamon roll coffee, slow smoked bacon & seasoned potatoes were so delicious. Eggs were good, but the grits were bland. It looked like the air vents needed a little cleaning & that there might have been a leak in the roof lately, but otherwise, a great place for brunch.

my favorite place to come have breakfast in town. Everyone is always so friendly! the hashbrowns are my favoriteee & i got a cinnamon roll for the first time today & it was amazing! i definitely swing by this diner every week! :)

One of my favorite places to eat in Norman! The food was excellent. The place was packed and the whole staff overtaxed, yet everyone, especially our server, was gracious, helpful, friendly, and efficient.

The love of my life that is the griddle combo with the Belgian waffle is from here. I come here every other week or so and every single time, the food is fantastic and the service is wonderful no matter how busy the restaurant is. Everyone is super nice and does a wonderful job. Their curly fries are the best and you will get your money's worth of food every time. Highly recommend!!!

The service is always good, but it seems they are dialing back the portions. I know the plate looked much bigger the last 2 times we have been on Sunday. We loved the Carmel Apple Pancakes, but they have been removed from the menu.

The food is yummy..staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. Only 1 negative-carpets need some shampooing. Just don't look down 😉
