JFK INN- Hotel JFK Airport New York - Featured Reviews (1321)
Quite literally the worst place ive ever stayed - and thst includes hostels when i was a 17 year old backpacker.||We arrived late at night, ||waited an hour for the shuttle. Grubby, run down unsafe hotel. Smelt terrible Fighting in the doorway, fighting in the stairwell ( 2 sep incidents). Police there on 3 sep occasions, and we were only there 1 night. We left very early the next morning, as we felt safer sleeping in the airport. I think this is def a hotel where the rooms are rented by the hour.
My flight with American Airlines was overbooked resulting in 10 of us not getting onto a flight. Quick search for a close to airport decent priced hotel brought up this one. I was exhausted so booked it at 200 dollars for the night. |The price I paid I expected more. Positive the place was clean. But like something in American horror story. I was a woman traveling alone. I literally went to room passing couples fighting, smells of stuff being smoked (not grass this was a new smell to me). I got some water from vending machine and went to bed. |The hotel does have shuttle bus to and from airport as i said it’s clean and I slept like a baby. The beds were comfy. Will I stay again no but it sorted my needs for last min stay overnight.
How rate a cheap hotel? Certainly not by the standards of the finest establishments. My bed was very comfortable. It was quiet (not the case for rooms by the truck or bus terminal). The shower gave hot water. Actually the bathroom was nice. Nothing was smelly. No insect pests. They provided transportation to the airport. My interactions were pleasant w the staff and other guests I talked to. I didn’t feel unsafe. The carpet and wallpaper were very tired however. The place is seedy but it worked for me just fine.
DO NOT PARK here. Your vehicle will be damaged and out of gas. BEWARE
This place is a disgrace and an embarrassment to New York. We arrived late off a flight and hadn't booked accommodation. We went to the Hotel Reservation desk in JFK and the lady there recommended this dump. She should be ashamed of herself. We did not feel safe here. We spent the night scratching so draw your own conclusions. We didn't take the free shuttle back to the airport as it didn't seem to be roadworthy. We booked Lyft instead. Avoid at all costs.
Do not stay at this hotel. I was supposed to stay here for Memorial Day weekend. This hotel never bothered to contact Booking or Hotels to make them aware that they decided to become a refugee center. I spent four hours on the booking with the booking agency to only end up having to fly home and get refunded for a day wasted with six hours at JFK's check in area for American Airlines and another twelve hours in the departure lounge to fly back home. This hotel shouldn't be allowed to rent out rooms at all. This was a completely bad experience and I was not at all happy or satisfied.
We booked about two months in advance to stay one night during a layover at new York through Expedia. Less than eight hours before we arrived, and while waiting in the airport for our flight to new York, they cancelled our reservations. They promised to book us another room at no additional cost, but when we landed in New York, we had received no emails, the new hotel they had promised to book us at had no reservations for us, and, adding insult to injury, they refused to answer our calls, picking up and then immediately hanging up the phone. We were quite literally left out in the cold. Horrible place, absolutely no customer service of any kind, terrible and irreverent people.
The worst hotel in the world definitely not worth 209 a night. This place is worse than a hostel. The room 307 was like a murder scene. I pulled the sheets back and there was like dry old blood all over the box spring cigarette burns on the carpet and the curtains roomed smelled a mess. Sheets had stains on them. I slept fully clothed on top of two towels with my hood on. I had the audacity to pull the sheet protector back on the mattress and Omg the stains and smell almost killed me. At this point the department of health should be called. I complained and was given back my money I give this a negative 0 stars this place should be shut down. Beware enter at your own risk
