Jersey Joe's Waffles & Eatery - Restaurant in Wildwood - 2410 Atlantic Ave, USA

Good breakfast spot for families and friends, pretty spacious, comfortable seating. The food was good, staff could have been friendlier BUT!!!, this was on Labor day so it’s possible they were short staffed and overwhelmed so I don’t want to take off a star for that. No wait time. Good food. Good prices. Would definitely recommend ordering the omelette instead of the “Jersey Joe”. I did the opposite and found myself wishing I had done the omelette which comes with the hashbrowns. They looked great. So did the eggs Benedict, my friends dove into it so quickly there was no time for a photo.

Straightforward breakfast (and lunch) place that was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. The only place we were aware of that specialized in a good Belgian waffle. We couldn’t find a website or menus online or on social media, so I took pictures of them for discovery here on Google Maps. I really liked how direct the service was. Hostess greeted us, directed us where to sit, and brought drinks. Waitress was just the right amount of present and got us what we needed. Wait time for food was short as far as I’m concerned. And prices seemed reasonable for how inflated everything is now in later 2023. Food was really good, waffle for me was exactly what I wanted and the coffee was like diner coffee but sufficient. Would eat here again for a classic breakfast.

This place was awesome! The service was great and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I also was able to a gluten-free Belgium waffle. I haven’t had a real waffle in years and this was so good. Highly recommend, especially for the GF waffle!

We have Jersey Joe’s a try this morning. We stopped in at the recommendation of family who was there this week. The food was good, I ordered an omelette with ham, mushrooms and cheese and it was fluffy, cooked well, enough cheese and ingredients were fresh. The hash browns were tasty and had a good seasoning. I also sampled the French toast with some bananas. The French toast full stack was 5 slices and the half stack was 3 slices. I went for that full stack. They were tasty, large slices of challah bread. My wife ordered the Twix waffle but it tasted like peanut butter to her. It may have been mixed up with the Peanut Butter Pancake special they had going on. Not a big deal and I'm sure if we alerted our server they would have fixed it. The waitress that took care of our table was very nice and personable. From speaking with her Jersey Joe’s has only been open a month. I know the restaurant is new so you cannot expect everything to be 100% yet. Some things we noticed that we’d recommend improving are: When we walked in we were told it would be a 30-35 min wait. No problem, restaurants usually have a little bit of a wait in a shore town. The issue was about 12 tables were empty and could handle the capacity of the people waiting. There were a couple that needed clearing, but it could be a quick turnaround. I did hear a patron ask the greeter why the long wait and she said it was to make sure they didn't overwhelm the kitchen and wait staff. Again, makes complete sense why you’d want to delay seating everyone at once, but maybe tell them 10 min wait, get the people seated, get them some drinks and menus and start making money on those tables. The owner noticed the issue and had the greeter start seating people faster. When we sat down the waitress came over immediately and took our drink order. It also didn't take long for the food to come out. It feels like there may be a miscommunication between the front of house and back of house. I liked the fact they use a POS that lets you check our from your table using Apple Pay. It's a good way to keep things moving it's probably something the wait staff can mention to get more people taking advantage of the feature. I feel like Jersey Joe’s is worth the visit. They are doing a really good job for being open for a month.

We had to wait to get seated 10 minutes turned into 23 minutes. Waitress got out drinks and then came back to take our order. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The eggs had cheese put in tip and the eggs were not hot enough to melt the cheese. The bacon was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The toast had a huge glob of butter thrown in the middle and I will be posting a pic. The waitress said she would be back with my sausage. She never came back until she brought us the bill and when I asked for a box she said oh I’ll get your sausage. She brought the sausage with my box. The atmosphere is nice and light and airy but I won’t be back.

We were so glad to find this breakfast spot on our recent trip to wildwood. The place was clean, food was good, the staff was wonderfully friendly. We got take out twice during our long weekend and both times they forgot several of our items. The first time we thought hey things happen. The second time we were like seriously, again? Great place, and we might still return for the convenience of it, but we will know now to check our order!

We just had breakfast here while staying in Wildwood. Everything was phenomenal! I would never think to put chipped beef on a waffle but omg it works! Everything was so delicious, and Dava was so kind, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We have definitely found our new spot while staying here!
