When you pull into the driveway of this handsome Victorian House one of the first things you notice is the red barn at the end of the driveway with the prominent Trump and Second Amendment banner.||||As you exit your car an AI generated voice announces that you are being recorded on video (the innkeepers would later say that this is necessary with everything going on, ignoring the fact that people do not lock doors in Hudson and the Town’s crime rate is 80% lower than the national average).||||You enter into an overly cluttered kitchen and dining area and the first floor has two sitting rooms liberally displaying MAGA literature. The upstairs bedrooms could use serious furniture and tchotchke editing. Wallpaper is old and peeling and bathrooms date from the 70s and are in need of an update.||||Breakfast cooked by Ms Ren was pretty much inedible and she wants too much to be your best friend. ||||It might have been charming 25 years ago, but it is well past its sell by date and a bit creepy
If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would!! To start, I was here with 10 people. Three of which were children under 3 years old. Ms. Ren and Mr. Doug were so kind and warm to all of us!! The breakfasts were so incredibly delicious and the rooms were so clean and comfortable!! Not to mention it is so close to everything Hudson has to offer!! It made the long drive from South Carolina to Ohio absolutely worth it!! If you have the chance you need to stay here!!
From the moment we arrived, I knew we picked the perfect B & B! The Innkeepers, Ms. Ren and Mr. Doug were delightful. The home is beautiful and well maintained, as well as the outside grounds. The rooms were so lovely decorated. We felt so at home and welcomed.
The breakfast was delicious! Ms. Ren and Mr. Doug made us their version of Avocado Toast, and it was DELISH! We enjoyed their company at breakfast with lot's of laughs!
Thank you both for sharing your beautiful home with us and your loving hospitality! We shall return!!!!
Extremely personable and enjoyable hosts. Super clean, super comfortable, accommodating as all get-out, and great breakfast chow. Would recommend to family and close friends without a hint of hesitation. We’d return simply to visit with Ren, she’s one cool lady.
I stayed here for a few days in 2021, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I grew up in Hudson (though I moved away over 25 years ago), and this brought back all the things I loved about the town. It's very much in the heart of the town and thus makes it a prime location to enjoy the Hudson if that's your objective.
The owner has some political signage on the property that may rub some people the wrong way, but as a hospitalier and conversationalist she exudes absolute warmth and comfort. I would happily stay here again, and my only regret about my last stay was that I had to leave too early to enjoy one of the host's outstanding home-cooked breakfasts!
This is a lovely home with a warm hostess. We had planned to stay here for years, but our long anticipated visit turned sour with the in-you-face political banner and placard that greeted our arrival. In a fractious time for our beautiful nation, the hosts seemed more dedicated to their political agenda than to making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. They have every right to express themselves as they see fit, but prospective guests have a right to be forewarned of their uncompromising views. We did not stay.
Innkeepers Ms Ren and Mr Doug go above and beyond to make our frequent stays at this beautiful historic guesthouse feel like home!! The rooms are quaint and the select comfort beds insure a heavenly nights rest! The en-suite baths have all the essentials stocked for us including plush robes! The inn is walking distance to the historic town center of Hudson which offers many restaurants, shops, and a farmers market at the town square.
What makes this guest house extra special are the innkeepers! Not only do Ms Ren and Mr Doug offer a deliciously prepared morning breakfast and offer a beautifully kept and comfortable inn....they thoroughly enjoy getting to know each individual guest!! By the end of your stay you will part with a new found friendship!
My husband and I have a hobby of visiting bed and breakfasts, this is one of our favorites. We have stayed here three times and are planning a return trip in the spring. We drive 3/1/2 hours to stay here. The town of Hudson is charming, and so is the King Guesthouse. The gorgeous house is decorated with antiques and lots of Knick knacks that make for a warm, cozy stay. Each room is very comfortable, with lots of little details and extras. Out of all the places we have stayed, they have the best breakfast. Everything perfectly cooked, and lots of gourmet items. The food is above average. The innkeepers are friendly and entertaining. We can't wait to go back!
What I like best is the welcoming atmosphere and the light-hearted approach to yoga at this studio. I love that classes are full of people at all different places in their yoga journeys and all feel completely welcome to be there. Or at least I do!
So much more than a fantastic workout, no matter your age. Great sense of community and awesome instructors who are passionate about what they do and encourage every client to be their best self. Love Pure Barre and highly recommend.
I started my weight loss journey here almost two years ago at the OTF in Hudson. The coaches and staff are all great people. Work outs are challenging and coaches help keep you motivated. I am very busy in my profession and I prefer the structured wo
This park is the bomb dot com. Playground has everything. Walking path has awesome views and is a great length. Sled hills gradually get steeper as you go south with something for everyone. So lucky to have this park so close.
Great place to live! The maintenance is excellent. They are very kind, very responsive and get the job done. We had a wonderful experience. We only had to leave because we were building a house out of town. I HIGHLY recommend Redwood.
Lovely park for all ages. Large play area for the bigger kiddo's and a smaller one for toddlers. There's a pavilion with picnic tables which would be great for parties or gatherings. Next time we'll bring charcoal and cookout on the grilling grids pr
