Very nice lake but missing information on the park website. Trout haven't not been stocked due to some problem. Seems like they all died. Supposed to stock it again in 2022. Also I saw some people living a mess of trash behind. Looks like it becaming more common to see it around parks in California.

Such a beautiful area not just for fishing. I went there with a two kiddos and they had fun hiking around the whole lake. Will be back next time to actually fish.
My kids just went up there fishing and the ranger stopped their car with his golf cart and was verbally assaulting my kids claiming they left a water bottle. He cussed them out and then asked my son if he wanted to do something in a threatening manner he then proceeded to pull out a knife on them and walk towards them in a threatening manner. All this over a water bottle that wasn’t even theirs. The ranger accused them of leaving a water bottle even though they both had huge hydro flask’s . This is beyond disgusting for a Ranger to attack someone and pull out a knife over a water bottle that someone else left. This happened right before 6pm tonight.
Was a beautiful view, although it is closed off to traffic. Walked it from the entrance of the road, maybe about half a mile or so, but was treated to absolute seclusion! Was a beautiful view that the parents really admired. Going to have to see what it looks like in the summer, but I like how tucked away it is.
Beautiful lake to fish or canoe in. No swimming though, unfortunately.
