Beautiful hotel with excellent service and great food. We were here on behalf of our employee appreciation party and were directed to this inn. The staff was spectacular and helpful, the entire property was spotless and the holiday decorations added beautiful flare. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here recently as the Jefferson Street Inn was the site of a conference I was attending. It was early when we arrived but the lady at the front desk was polite and told us she had rooms ready so we were able to check in early. What a nice surprise! We had to wait a bit for the elevator up to our rooms since there only seems to be one. The room was pleasant but slightly outdated. There was a constant noise in my room since outside my room was a large air handler or something of that nature— it never quit. The beds need updating as my mattress had giant divots in it. The continental breakfast in the restaurant was nice and the employees were always polite and friendly. I liked the close parking that was also paid for! It was a bit confusing to find the conference rooms as there is no signage when you get off the elevator. Overall, the stay was adequate but with some updating this could be an even more pleasant experience.

Friendliest hotel in Wausau and always my go-to when I’m here for work. All around comfortable with a great restaurant and bar (Char Grillhouse). It’s located right downtown so there is no shortage of entertainment, with over a dozen bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Parking is easy too and free parking is included in the rate.

Everything at this hotel is done right. The rooms are beautiful, the executive suites are above amazing, friendly staff, upscale, sheets, and towels, and a fantastic restaurant attached.|I would recommend this hotel for business, travelers, or people just wanting to get away. Front desk staff was on point and friendly. |Person who travels internationally all the time I believe that 90% of the hotels around this world should take note from these people. Very nice hotel our room was very spacious. The breakfast was pretty good as well both hot and cold options. The shower was very nice. We stayed for a wedding and the banquet hall was gorgeous huge windows and a lovely space.

I will never book a room here again. I can stay elsewhere for the same rate and with better service. The front desk staff shared very little at checkin. I received vouchers for breakfast but was not told what time serving started or ended. They have no vending machines and no hotel store. Very few amenities in the room or on premises. Sheets though clean are like sandpaper. Only sheer curtains on windows so you can not block out the streetlights or sun and everyone can see you from outside.

Upon checking in the clerk was very rude, not hello, no thank you, did not explain anything. I was there for 4 nights, did not mind the cost and loved the location. Adam and Amy were remarkable , however on my last morning I asked to if I could take my breakfast to my room. I was rudely told that "we DO NOT take food to our rooms..." ok I am not a 4 year old. Afterwards same person said to the kitchen staff as she was looking at me something and he said, "Awesome, that is awesome!!" Do not treat me as if I am invisible !!! I made the choice to stay there at my expense!!! If I drive over 500 miles to stay somewhere, just make me feel welcomed that is all. I spent $$ there not only for the room but for dinner, bottles of wine and dessert..treat me like I mattered is all. I will not stay there again.

Checkout was noted on our key card packet that checkout was at noon. I'm currently a nursing mom away on a business trip and wanted to keep my pumped milk cold for as long as possible. I went to my room at 11:30a, and the cleaning attendee had dumped out my 2 days worth of pumped milk. The boss of my business conference also checked with the front desk to make sure they don't clean my room yet, cuz I still needed that room. Very frustrated with the poor communication from the front desk to cleaning staff. Especially if you know how hard moms work to produce milk for their babies. I will now be in a bind when I get home to feed my child. The cleaning attendee should have at least taken the items to the front desk to confirm if anyone from the conference still needed these items, if they were going to be going into rooms early, prior to the checkout time.
