Jefferson County Historical Village - Museum in Mt Vernon - 1411 N 27th St, USA

Very interesting place. It was a special event and they had historical reenactors giving demonstrations. No admission fee but donations are requested.

every 2nd Saturday is the time to come out they let you use the forge for a $5 donation not mandatory but this place is great very laid back and welcoming down to earth people very cool place

It was a walk and look into the town's history. Educational and fun all 4 of the kids and ourselves really enjoyed this!

When we went they have the bricks that you buy so that was pretty cool to look at, the buildings were closed but the ladies who were here were very kind enough to walk us through all the buildings and explain everything to us my grandchildren range from 8 to 19, and they all found it so interesting to step back in the past and see what was done and how people lived thank you ladies for being so kind and spending the time with my grandchildren and showing them all this.

I was there October 2019. The Village is open to walking even though the Visitor Center was closed when we were there.

Excellent examples of the years gone by. Worth stopping by for sure and hopefully they will be able to continue to add even more to this in the future.

Nice display of history. Staff was extremely polite. Facilities were extremely clean.
