JC Raulston Arboretum - Arboretum in Raleigh - Ruby McSwain Education Center, 4415 Beryl Rd, USA

We had our wedding at the JC Raulston Arboretum in October '23 and they were great to work with! Our ceremony was in the White Garden and reception on the patio adjacent to the classroom – both were great locations (and we got lucky with the weather too)! The staff were easy to work with, very responsive, and very engaged in the days leading up to and during our wedding. We would highly recommend considering them as a wedding venue!

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible day I recently spent at the park. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by the vibrant colors of nature, and the soothing melodies of birdsong enveloped me in tranquility. The park's well-maintained paths led me on a journey of discovery, while the gentle breeze whispered secrets of the trees. I can't forget the enchanting sunset that painted the sky with hues of pink and gold, leaving me in awe of the beauty of our world. Thank you, park, for offering a slice of paradise and renewing my spirit with this unforgettable experience.

Beautiful place to walk and look at trees. I also really appreciate that most of it is wheelchair accessible for our daughter. Stunning trees and flowers, even now in deep fall. This is my happy place and I'll most definitely be back.

I love spending some quiet time walking around the gardens here. Throughout the year, the JC Raulston Arboretum offers evening garden strolls (plus other events) that are definitely worth checking out! It does get warm, although there is a good amount of shade around, so I recommend coming by in the morning if you visit the gardens during the summer. There is a beautiful collection of different plants, and you’re likely to see some animals too - we saw a hawk last time we visited!

Beautiful free garden. Bring cash for a donation if you wish to make one. Loved the white garden, children's garden, rose garden, tropical gardens, and Japanese gardens. An impressive array of well cared for plants. Tips: Bring some bug spray as our trip was cut short by my 9 year old getting tons of mosquito and no see um bites. He had mosquito bites all over his legs. (Oddly, I was barely bitten.) Good spot for families or couples. Perfect for a picnic. Lots of free parking an on-site lot. There are some gardens that are wheelchair accessible, which is great!! Take your loved one out for some sun and to view some beautiful plants. The only drawback of this place was there is a lot of noise from adjacent roads. This is to no fault of the establishment, but I wouldn't want to have a wedding ceremony here. If road noise doesn't bother you, then you're good to go.

I've been wanting to visit this place for months and it did not disappoint. Very peaceful place to walk surrounded by different types of plants you've probably never seen or heard of. It is also a fantastic place to take headshots in a nature setting. I will definitely go back again.

I love it here! It's a beautiful place to walk around, or even have a picnic! There are plenty of benches around to sit. Lots of hidden nooks. It's an excellent date spot.

This place is gorgeous seriously the serenity and tranquility of this place is amazing. It’s a nice place for a date to walk and site see it has the potential to be romantic during the right time of the year. Definitely a must if you have kids that you would like to do something educational with them it’s a really nice place or for a wedding the gardens are so beautiful definitely a place to visit while in Raleigh!!!
