Would not recommend. This place is just a spot to rest for the night.
Probably the worst hostel I’ve been to. If you have a top bunk there is no outlet for you. There was not a functioning sink on the floor. Only one shower for 30+ ppl. Facilities were not clean. Bring your own lock for the lockers.
On the plus side, they do have bagels in the morning and location is great.
This place was an absolute god send when we booked our stay last summer. My friend and I booked it about a week in advance for 3 nights, and it was only about $40 each per night, which seems very reasonable for Manhattan. The hostel is located on the upper west side, right next to central park. The surrounding area was also great and had lots of shops, laundromats and places to eat so we had everything we needed. It's in a gorgeous and upmarket part of the city which tourists would probably not normally get to visit, so it was great to see a nice residential area. Staying here will make you feel like a proper New Yorker! We also had our own private room with bunk-beds, which was actually cheaper than just paying for a bed in a larger dorm (I think this was $50 a night per person). The room was nice and clean, and so was the communal bathroom. Although it may seem far from Times Square etc I actually preferred this as it was a lovely place to return to late at night in a very attractive location. The subway ride there is fairly short and the stop is about a 5 minute walk from the hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful and it felt very safe. There is a bar and outdoor area, however my only complaint is that there is no laundry room, as this is often essential for travellers. There is a laundromat one block away though so it isn't too much of an issue. I would definitely recommend staying here regardless of your budget as it feels far more authentic than staying in Times Square. Will definitely return for my next visit.
It’s very dingy and dirty. I ran into a lot of roaches. They do not offer free drinkable water. You either have to pay for each bottle of water out of the vending machine, or try your luck with the brown tap water. I stayed here a few years ago and it still haunts me.
Great location for walking around manhattan. It’s just across from Central Park with a pretty decent bodega down the street. I came here as a lone traveler. It’s a bed and a small locker. What else could you need. They clean the rooms at like 8 am every morning so you better be up. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.
I recommend a stop at the Dublin house pub if you come here. It’s a brisk walk but it’s worth it.
My brother and I stayed in this hostel for one night and I think three stars is a fair review. We stayed in a private bunk bed room so I can’t comment on the shared room experience.
The good things: the location is perfect and seems to be in a relatively safe and quieter part of NYC. The staff were relatively friendly and the room was clean. It is a very small room with just the beds, a table and lockers to lock your things in but it was perfect for our one night stay. There is heating in the room but it doesn’t seem like you have control over when it comes on. The showers and toilets were clean and I had ample hot water and water pressure.
The not so good things: you will more than likely have to wait 5-10 min to be helped at the front desk but that’s not a big deal. What I found odd was that in their rules it says guests get a free towel when staying in a private room but when we asked we were told it was $5 each. There was also only a flat sheet and a pillow provided in the rooms which was not adequate for me in a NYC winter luckily the heating switched on in the middle of the night. To get to the women’s bathroom from our room you had to go through the stairwell which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to a student or young adult wanting to visit NYC at a somewhat affordable price.
Not good hostel. Small washroom for the entire floor. They have 6 people per room, and 6 rooms.
No elevator available. So you have to take your luggage on your own till 5th floor.
Room keys stops functioning multiple times. I had to come down for room key again and again.
I stayed only one night and it was really correct contrary to the very negative reviews and I was well received by the people at the reception. My room was in fair condition and the bathroom too. The location is currently undergoing work on the kitchen /living area but that’s not a big deal. The localisation is perfect with the metro nearby. The only thing I would recommend is that some improvement work should be done in the toilet / add some curtains in the bedroom etc
I had to stay for another night in NYC (stayed at the Hi Hostel before) and this was the only hostel available for the next night. So despite the many bad reviews, I stayed at a female two bed dorm room. It was about 100$ so really not worth the money - but again the only available option when I looked the day before|It was a rather bad hostel - but it could have been worse||Here are my pros:|- very friendly staff|- nice location directly next to the Central Park ( tho quite far away from the Center)||Here are my cons:|- the bathrooms only did the job, there was no shelf whatsoever to put your bag, I couldn’t properly lock the bathroom door|- it rained a lot at night and the water actually came through the walls and fell on the bunk bed :(|- the beds had no shelves to put your phone, wallet or other items and there were no nightlights for each bed so I couldn’t read|- it got very cold at night and the blankets were too thin|- you had to pay another 5$ if you wanted to store your baggage in the storage room after checking out ||They also served bagels and jam as well as coffee and tea in the morning - which was nice |
Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!
I look forward to my body rolling and foot fitness sessions with Melyssa! Her immense knowledge and intuition guide the sessions in a great way. This work is supportive for the long haul; brings awareness, strength and greater mobility. It's become a
One of the best bibimbaps Iâve ever had! Cozy space so there is not a lot of seating, but would get it as take-out if needed. Will definitely go back!
Eko is the best property manager Iâve ever met. He is very reactive and provide service as soon as possible. My 4 months tour in NYC is indispensable without his help.
Tickets were crazy affordable, especially in NYC terms. I went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. It was wayyy cheaper than going to the movies. They had an amazing line-up and the retro 80s vibes were intimate and chill. Plus the come
Out of all of the Georgian restaurants Iâve been to in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Mealz is the one that exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, not to mention the service was amazing. Overall, the environment was very comforting and friendly
The Ness is the best studio in NYC! Been a very consistent client for the last 6 months

Absolutely love F45 midtown location! The gym is huge and spacious, the equipment in great condition , and the instructors rock. Theyâre always very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to injuries/ substitutions and I feel I get a great workout
Great, fantastic experience. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time during a trip to NYC and it's so great. The location at night in the winter at night was a bit unfamiliar but it's on a main street and near a subway entrance so that's a t
