The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the 3 items combination plate A chimichanga tamale & chicken flouta we split the chicken soup & she got the 1lb of fajitas also enough for us to split. She tried a margarita and I tried a tropicolada. Both delicious.

Pretty decent all around but definitely room for improvement. The food was better than expected but you could tell where some corners were cut to save the kitchen some time. The chips were definitely purchased rather than cooked fresh and the salsa, while fine for my taste, was much spicier than a house salsa should be. Our busser was constantly hovering by our table — asking multiple times to take our plates mid-meal — and the waitress was nowhere to be found. The food came out crazy fast, however, so it seems like the kitchen is firing on all cylinders.

I hadn't been to Javier's for several years, I had forgotten what a nice place it is. Great service, wide selection on the menu, good ambiance, and darn tasty margaritas. If you haven't been here before, you will find this to be far more authentic Mexican food than the other trendy places in downtown Arlington Heights. Javier's has been here a lot longer than the other guys. They put the attention and quality into their food rather than the latest trend. Visited again today, consistent excellence continues. The margaritas were so good that we needed an extra round, the tacos were fresh and seasoned to perfection! 2/3/2023 - another visit, another great experience! We've decided margaritas taste better when ordered by the pitcher! The food was awesome too, but on a Friday afternoon it's really all about the drinks!

Great place for some Mexican food! Staff are on it. Always helping and friendly. Large indoor seating and several outside options for outside as well. My family typically orders the chicken tacos which are always good. The enchiladas are a must order as well. @food_from_the_usa

We use to love going to Javier's but this time was not good. The beef tacos were flavorless. The meat had no taste, the cheese was shredded American cheese and there was lots of lettuce. Rice was cold and no flavor. Use to be a great place and great food. We will not be going back. Waiter did not say anything when they took away our plates with lots of food on them. Did not care what we had to say. Charged for all of the meals. Sad.

Their chicken soup is authentic and uses fresh ingredients. The vegetables aren’t too chunky, chopped just right and they use shredded chicken, NOT cubed and dry. Perfect if you’re feeling under the weather 🤧 Their guac is great too!

Food was very good ! Will definitely be coming back. Staff is very welcoming and nice . Great indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the chicken enchiladas. I would say thus place has the best enchiladas. Salsa was good, could have been a little better.
