We were on our way home and decided to eat somewhere different. The funny thing was we saw a billboard for a burger place and for some reason Javiers didn't pop up when we did our Google search. But as we drove by, we decided to look down town and that's how we found it. We got there at 130 and they closed at 2 so we weren't sure with them closing so soon on a Sunday how it would go but figured we would give it a whirl and glad we did. The service was excellent even though they were getting ready to close and I'm sure they were ready to go home. They took care of us no issues and we very attentive. We got the chips and salsa and they were absolutely phenomenal. I'm assuming they are made in house but if they are bought I definitely need to know where to get them. If they make them as I suspect, they should bag them to sell and they will make a fortune. We got the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried steak sandwich and both were excellent. They hit that hole cooked meal spot and you could tell it was all made fresh. I wish we lived closer to them because this would be a go to spot for us, but we may have to make that drive occasionally anyway.
This is such a beautiful place to come dine in. If you enjoy history and appreciate the decorative items the good old days, then you will enjoy coming to Javier’s. We have came here before and tried their different dishes. The prices are fair and their food is always freshly made. We haven’t had a problem here. Do expect to wait a little since they are usually busy. This isn’t your fast food place to dine in. The food has always came out hot. Definitely a town family.
Delicious hometown Cafe with breakfast and lunch selections! Definitely recommend the breakfast tacos with homemade salsa! The breakfast home-style fries/potatoes are so unique and tasty! Great place to take the family. Only con - could have better lighting or open window shades.
Great little small town Cafe. Good food, friendly waitresses, good prices. 3% charge for credit card use, so if your a large party bring some cash
Pretty nice place for our lunch. Seems to have very good prices and a pretty large menu of items as well as Daily specials. The staff was very friendly. Looking forward to returning soon.
The chicken fried steak was fantastic you could cut it with a fork. This is definitely that hole in the wall cafe you make sure to stop at for breakfast on your road trip.
Great little family cafe. Very welcoming. Ordered up the 2 egg plate with bacon. It comes with hash browns and two homemade biscuits and gravy. My wife ordered up a bacon, egg, cheese and potato breakfast taco. It comes with some nice salsa, which I covered my eggs with. Great food, excellent wait staff and very affordable. We will no doubt return.
I thought I was sure that I had reviewed Javier's before, but I guess I didn't. Maybe I didn't want anyone else to know about it and make it crowded. One of the best places for breakfast in the area. We go their 2-3 times per month. Their omelets are the best, bacon is very good, sausage is good, and I always get biscuits and gravy. You never have to tell them you bacon crispy and hashbrowns crisp. They make them just the way I like them. Javier and Juanita run a great café. If you are in the area, I urge you to give it a try.
I love this place! In and out in a jiffy! All the staff are super friendly. Thereâs one particular employee here that always makes me smile, with her great energy. Havenât tried their entire menu but the few things that I have, my daughter and I
