Jason's Tavern - American restaurant in South Dennis - 500 MA-134, USA

For a first-time visit, I found it to be fine. A wide-variety menu would seem to offer something for everyone. Several dinner specials offered, but end at 6 p.m. Our server, who was attentive, was so quick, you had to be quick to flag her down. Drunken Coconut Chicken, a menu cover feature, was tasty.

The atmosphere at Jason's is inviting. It was a cold day and we asked to be seated in front on the fireplace. Our waitress was efficient and pleasant. I ordered a comfort food, Shepherd's pie. My husband and sister-in-law ordered a meal of scallops and vegetables. All of us were pleased with the taste of our meals. We shared a piece of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream to finish off the meal.

My husband and I happen to be delivering a load (drive semi) close to this restaurant and decided to walk over and try it. I am so glad we did! Everything was fresh and delicious! You can tell the quality in their food. The server was so sweet. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. I wish we didn't live so far from here or we would be coming back WAY more often! Next time we deliver to Dennis, we definitely will be stopping back in! Keep up the great work!

This place never disappoints me. Time after time, the experience was very nice. The price is great and the portion is perfect. Quality is top notch! It's like you are going to grandma's for dinner every time.

The food was bland, I ordered a half sandwich and soup. The sandwich was bread and meat nothing else. The clam chowder had no flavor. Our waitress was very slow and did not come back to see if we needed anything I had to flag her down. We had hoped for a better experience from a local restaurant.

Got the fish tacos tonight and they were very good. My last experience wasn't so good so I'm glad I liked my meal today. Staff is always friendly.

Ordered today, and was completely disappointed. I will never order there again. Ordered two cups of clam chowder. Both cups were literally half full. No oyster crackers either. Moving on to the app. Ordered boneless buffalo wings. Asked for blue cheese. No blue cheese or dressing at all, so that sucks, who wants buffalo tenders with nothing to dip them in? They were also the worst “tenders” myself or my husband have ever had. Next we ordered three burgers. That is their proposed specialty, is it not. Ordered all with ketchup and mayo. All came dry. I know some restaurants will only put condiments on the side, yet we did not get them on the side either. Just a bunch of dry, less than mediocre burgers. I ordered mine with no onions, no, I am not allergic. I just think onions are gross, and yet onions it is. Now the whole box smells like hot onions, which to me is like smelling someone’s gross feet. Quit a turnoff. So folks, for $117.00 you too can have a dry disappointing meal. That is if you can eat it.

Love the croquettes! Such a fun chill place to grab lunch or dinner. I love coming here with my grandparents! Burgers are delish too!
