Since 4EG has taken over the place the vibe is different. The bar is exactly the same in terms of physical set up, but service is much different. They always have enough bartenders however their ability to be friendly and attentive is inconsistent. Four bartenders can be working and one can be sitting at the bar, while it is not busy and yet one can be ignored. Why? Food is not served here and why the one star for that.
Japp’s has the best high scale cocktails on Mainstreet. Their bartenders know their stuff! Adam was very knowledge and I loved my experience!
Great cocktails and friendly service. Hot Mags were great! The bartenders could use a little help to keep things moving a bit quicker. Waited about 15 minutes to be served.

I stopped here with my husband after dinner last night for a cocktail. I had been to Japp's once before and was hoping that Molly would still be behind the bar. She was not there but Jeremy took very good care of us. We each had a cocktail off of their specialty board. I ordered the Bad Girls drink and my husband ordered a Pimm's cup. My drink was too dry to my liking and so I switched with my husband. I enjoyed the Pimm's very much. As there were not a lot of customers last night Jeremy gave us extra attention. We will be traveling to Italy later this year and he gave us a lesson on Italian liqueurs. I really love the ambiance of this old wig store. We were told that renovations will be happening very soon. I am sure that the original details will still be in place due to Molly's love of history but the rest of the bar will be even nicer.
Cool Cocktail bar downtown Cinci with space utilized nicely. I like a little elbow room and adult atmospheres. Friendly bartenders and refreshing drinks. Always a Good stop away from the big younger crowd.
Wow the GM Adam and staff were incredible. Cam absolutely killed it with the poetry night. I LITERALLY cannot wait for the next one. The new aesthetics are incredible too, place has really turned around. Clearly the staff cares and is bringing it back to its former glory. But modern!
