This place is ridiculously cute, and one of my favorite bars in DC. Their cocktails tastes and looks amazing, and their bartenders are attentive to details. I love their decor and overall vibe that makes it a fun place to hang out with friends for happy hour. My only complaints are that there’s not a great selection of foods to go with the drinks, and that it’s usually very crowded (took me about a few attempts before actually getting in, and even then it got crowded very fast).
My favorite cocktail bar in DC. The ambience and design is perfect. Cocktails are pricey as expected - great to bring someone from out of town or as a date spot. My go-to is the French 75. Two notes: it’s small and fills easily, especially during peak times, but worth the wait. Don’t expect food. There are a few small dishes, but nothing substantial.
Really stupendous bar with a great cocktail program. I do wish there were a few more appetizers on the menu but the olives and onion dip were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed everything I had there and will definitely be back in the near future!!
Even though I live only a few blocks away, it’s taken me a while to try out this spot. I’ve been away a lot! Was VERY happy to finally stop in this evening. The drinks are fantastic and it’s super cozy. Meaning it’s small. It’s usually packed on weekends! The outdoor tables are nice. Literally tiny bites so it’s the perfect place to stop for a drink before dinner. The cocktail list is impressive. Just went back and had the pimento cheese. Very tasty! And the cocktails are still fantastic!
Left without a drink after the receptionist was rude to us for no reason. It really caught me off guard and I left feeling a bit upset. We were sober so no clouded judgement on it. Went to Cork wine bar instead where the vibes were welcoming. Saw a recent review stating a similar experience here and decided to speak up as well. I’ve been twice before and the drinks & bartenders were lovely, but hesitate to try again.
If I could give this bar a thousand stars I would. We show up they are packed to the walls and the sky falls out on a hurricane like level. The hostess, manager, staff get us in, get us dry and proceed to take care of everyone who comes in drenched after. The kindest team of people you will meet. Great cocktails, delicious cheez it snacks. Will be recommending to anyone and everyone!
We walked in (as we learned from other reviews that they don’t take reservations in advance). The staff is friendly and welcoming from the moment she greeted us at the door. The atmosphere of the place is awesome, with cool decor that adds to the overall vibe. However the drinks had more of a juice-like taste than an alcoholic one, which wasn’t quite we were looking for. The standout dish for me was the pickled okra which was super amazing!
Just went for drinks and to take in their holiday decorations. Neither disappointed. Their warm cocktails particularly hit the spot. Was a bit busy when we went so if you're just popping in you may need to stand until a spot opens. Staff were very nice. Will go back for another great cocktail.
