J&S Fresh Kitchen and Catering - American restaurant in Asheville - 800 Fairview Rd, USA

Being here kind of reminds me of being at school in the cafeteria. I love that. They have an awesome variety of different dishes and sides, mostly comfort foods. I really enjoyed the food here, it was delicious, in good hefty portions, and well served.

They were a little short-staffed, but I am sure after they hire some more people, the service will get better. I think that the staff were doing the best they could at the time. Everything looked fresh and comfortable in the dining room. The food was good as always. This was the first time that I had eaten here since J&S reopened. I had the pork pot roast with potatoes and carrots. It was very good. The meat was moist and tender. The vegetables, cooked with the meat, were perfect. My adult children had fried chicken, baked spaghetti, mashed potatoes, & green beans. They said everything was very good. It was really great to be able to eat here again.

Went for our families Christmas dinner. Loved the food. The staff was great and the prices were good. Would love to eat here again if we ever go back to Asheville.

I got country steak with rice. Steak had a large grizzle that ran the entire length of cut. When I made it know to the server that I was not able to cut or eat this she picked up my plate, said nothing and took it and tossed it in the trash. Never offered me another plate or anything in its place. Nothing. I spoke with manager he offered me nothing. So for my money I got absolutely nothing. No food or reimbursement. Unbelievable the way I was treated by these horrible people.

All the ladies there are so wonderful. Friendliest people ever. The lady that helped me to my seat is the absolute best. I am disabled and walk with a cane and that lady helped me so much. Way more than she had to.(10/08/23 @ 11:30.) Hope somebody recognizes her hard work.

I have eaten hear a lot since they have reopened. It started out wonderful!! Food so delicious! Unfortunately I ate there today….wish I hadn’t!! I specifically asked the lady server if the turkey & dressing was hot because I got it before and it wasn’t. She seemed offended and said “ We just opened of course it’s hot.” So I ordered it with rice and okra. Well that was a huge mistake! It was barely warm at best, the okra was so salty I couldn’t eat it. So beware consumers it’s going downhill fast!!

This place is great and the prices are great but if you go on a Sunday be sure to get there by or before noon or else you'll be standing in line for awhile
