We went to see the Nutcracker, it was delightful, the children and adults were very talented, you could see their dedication in how well they performed, the costumes were very pretty. The theater was comfortable, the staff well organized, the concession stand was very quick and polite. A really nice experience!
From top to bottom, this place was incredible. The crew, the staff, and the lighting and sound techs were among the best in the business.
A great venue and friendly staff! Part of the College of Lake County. Tonight, December 9th, is the Christmas Choral Concert at 4pm. It will feature the student choir, the chamber choir, the gospel choir and also the Choir of Lake County of which we are a part. A wonderful way to start the season!
Not a bad seat in the house! Really good acoustics too, fun music!
I cried. Like a baby, seeing these people perform. It's magical. You would cry too. So don't judge me and say I'm being over dramatic. Just go and experience what I've experienced.
I got my associates at CLC and was able to attend many world class performances here at James Lumber Center for the Performing arts. As a student I also got experience the flip-side of the show from the stage POV, as a performer in various contexts with a CLC Big Band, choral ensembles, musicals and Prairie Spirits Dance Ensemble shows. The acoustics in this space are gorgeous and It has to be mentioned that the tech crew at James Lumber Center are also real pros, lighting and sound were always on point and I hope it has maintained the high standard.
It’s a great space to train and evolve as a student without breaking the bank and drowning in debt and a wonderful place to catch a show without having to travel too far, if you live in the area.
Great show! Very nice theater
On 2/24/23 We saw Tab Benoit (blues) there a full house seating, sound were very good and would have gave it a 5 star rating except the concession stand was not prepared. The ladies were very nice and I'm sure it wasn't on them. Nothing was cold, beer, pop, wine and water and no ice. Looking behind the counter it appeared that they only has a residential refrigerator. You think that they would had coolers with refreshments on ice. They lost Hundreds of dollars by not being prepared. I hope that they will have more concerts even if they are top cover bands.
