The Jade Estate Inn is a fantastic place to stay and get away. Set in the historical district of the quaint town of Allegan, it offers all the trappings of a by-gone era complete with the architecture, furnishings and feel of the 1860's when the estate was built.
Of special note is the first-rate breakfast each morning consisting of fresh fruit, homemade pastries, souffles and much more. Elizabeth and Amy were extremely attentive, not only with regard to the meal but were also very knowledgeable on area attractions, history and town happenings. It was a pleasure interacting with them. They made us feel like family.
Our room was immaculately decorated, very quiet, and welcoming. The modern technology did not overwhelm the period furnishings and we had everything we needed for our stay. We took the opportunity to relax in the library by the fire and sample a few of the many local books.
We highly recommend the Jade Estate and will be back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Elizabeth was so gracious and accommodating in every way. The Inn was immaculate and well appointed, and nothing was left unplanned. It was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend. Our breakfast was delicious. There were plenty of snacks and extras provided. We will definitely be back.
Can not say enough about our stay. We try to go away after Christmas every year to a different bed and breakfast, and this year was the Jade Estate Inn. We had been to Allegan the year before and wanted to stay in the city this time. The Jade Estate Inn was walking distance to downtown and the history of this home as told to us by Elizabeth just added to our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and hospitality that they offered. We would love to come back in the summer and spend time outside in the yard that they also have.
Wonderful experience. We went for our honeymoon and it was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Even though the town itself was under construction, we still were able to walk and enjoy some places. Everything we needed to do in the town was within walking distance. Grand Rapids is a close drive as well. The Inn was beautiful and very clean. Elizabeth was wonderful and very attentive. We will definitely be back!
This place is a real gem! Built in 1863 and superbly maintained Italian Renaissance Estate. The furnishings, chandeliers, comfortable beds and gracious staff made us feel at home and pampered. Delicious and nutritious breakfast and homemade cookies and treats. Our daughters small wedding was held in the gazebo dispute the rain. Many stunning pictures were taken inside, outside and on the porch. Lovely!
Jade Estate is Incredible!! The ambiance, the staff, the bedding, the breakfast and the extras... Goat milk soap and Mackinack Island fudge are all absolutely incredible!! Walking distance to breweries, dining, and more downtown made it the perfect spot for my team retreat! Elizabeth is the best hostess ever, and my team can't wait to come back!!!
The Jade Estate Inn is definitely a hidden gem in Michigan! It was amazingly clean and well kept, especially for being built in 1863. We stayed for two nights. The neighborhood felt safe and very walkable. The Inn is a 5-minute walk to downtown Allegan.
The service we received was exceptional. Both Elizabeth and Karina were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast that Karina made both mornings was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around front and playing cards. We plan to come back to this beautiful Inn evey year!
We were visiting West Michigan from Germany for the summer and had a chance to visit the Jade Estate
What.a.gem.!!!
Historic, but NOT old and as clean as a whistle!! The decor is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are wonderful!!
An absolute must if you’re in West Michigan!!
Very quiet and nice, however it lacks decent public access to a bathroom. The play ground is well kept, but the benches could use some love. Overall it's fun to visit the library then let the kids burn off energy in the park.
A quiet park with newer playground, modern bathrooms, picnic pavilion (rented from the Allegan County Parks website), charcoal grills, designated swimming area, and 550' of frontage on Dumont Lake. Note that the beach is mainly grass and there is a
