Easy to find, plenty of free parking, handicap accessible. Motorized wheelchair and strollers available. Nice gift shop. Our cave tour guide was prompt, courteous and well informed. Destiny explained all the cave features as we passed through, answered all our questions and is a credit to the industry. Thank you all, good times.
Finally got to do Jacobs cave! It was amazing! Nice and cool 56 degrees inside the cave while it was a humid 95 degrees outside! Learned about the prehistoric animals found in and around the caves. Saw evidence of floods and earthquakes. We got to hold a stalagmite and touch petrified wood.Drink some cave water right out of the stream. At the end I bought some pretty rocks! All in all it was a good time. Loved our tour guide she was so much fun and had great energy. 10/10 recommend!
We had a Great Time at Jacobs Cave. We were Vendors and sold alot of items. There were lots and lots of friendly people and good food. Lots of Vendors also. Can't wait to go back in March!!
This cave was incredible. There was a lot of geological, natural, and human history to it, and the guide was passionate and knowledgeable. My favorite parts were the bear prints/claw marks, the fossil cases (with fossils found inside the cave!!), the huge ledges caused by the cave forming new floors lower and lower as the clay base is washed out from floods, and the spot where we saw a crack caused by a relatively recent earthquake that the cave then healed over(!!!). Oh, and the enormous geode in the cave wall. The gift shop had nice options that were reasonably priced, too.
This was a great tour led by Destiny. She really knew the cave well and answered every question without hesitation.
Pretty neat cave system. Has wide caverns and smaller tunnels. We went on the guided tour and our group was pretty small which was nice. It’s also wheelchair accessible (we had one on our tour)
Honestly such a cool experience to see. I can't remember our guides name, but she was funny. Lots of facts and information about the formations and things that used to live within the cave. It's not a long walk, maybe a half mile. You can complete the whole tour in about a hour. There are some very low parts where handicapped people would probable not fit with a wheel chair but besides that it is decently accessible for most individuals, I saw some pretty hefty guys squeeze through the areas pretty easily. The pictures you can get are also worth it for sure, we went with our daughter and a small portable stroller was able to make it through. Little pricey, about $25 a person. But it is a neat experience for sure.
A great cave! You get so close to the formations unlike many of other caves. The tour guide Sedona was so nice and giggly it was a hoot. It's a great family experience and a real benefit to take young people through and teach them about geology and natural history. It has the usual cave stuff like stalagmites, stalactites and cave straws but also has fossilized coral in the ceiling. They have a case with mammoth teeth, and other prehistoric artifacts that were found in the cave. There is a neat small gift shop that isn't so highly overpriced like a lot of places are. It has a nice family feel to it and my mom aged 77 really enjoyed it.
