Third time here. Easily one of my favorite restaurants on the North Shore. I am always amazed that Hammond has such a gem of a restaurant. I can totally appreciate the historic story of this establishment. Service was great. The Jacmel 75 drink was great, not so crazy about the Granny's Negroni which had a spicy taste that totally overrode the apple taste of the gin. I loved the deviled eggs and the crispy chicken. I honestly could've just eaten the vegetable purée and vegetables that came with the crispy chicken, that is how good they were. Hubby had the ribeye, he said it was very tender and tasty. The potatoes that were served with ribeye were "melt in the mouth." The dessert of cookies and milk was just the cherry on top, cookies served warm with a melted vanilla gelato with cinnamon. We will come back here more often!
I want to rave about this place, but the way the manager attempted to swindle $150 fee for a room I didn't ask for and moreover neither was disclosed when I booked a reservation for 18 nor when I arrived with my party, stops me from being able to give this place admiration. They really put a damper on a really great brunch attempting to be duplicitous.
But before this debacle,
The service was phenomenal, and the food was perfect. The chef really put effort into developing layers of flavors and textures.
The cocktails were also topnotch. They even had mint to make a truly incomparable mojito.
Even though I won't be back, this place cuisine is on par.
Be careful with parking lot. It's mostly rocks and muddy.
My fiancé and I have been wanting to go to dinner here for awhile now. Tonight was the night we finally decided on.
I was expecting the food to be good, but Jacmel exceeded my expectations. JACMEL, PLEASE never take the Ricotta Gnocci off of the menu. It was fantastic. I am a fast eater, but I ate this so slow I wanted to savor every bite. If you like ricotta and crab meat, this is a MUST on the appetizer. Do not skip this, then, whatever sauce is leftover, dip your bread in it. I’m telling yall, this chef knows EXACTLY what tf he is doing.
The Brussels sprouts were also soooo delicious. Everything was seasoned so well. I’m a Cajun girl, so I like my seasonings.
We also ordered the steak and ribeye which was wonderful and followed it with a dessert, the milk and cookies.
Everything including the service was amazing and we can’t wait to go back for their Tuesday steak night special.
I will be dreaming about this Ricotta Gnocci until I get to have it again 😋
A great place for a nice couples dinner or a workgroup celebration. The food is really good and the service was great.
We did a birthday brunch with a private room for 25 people and had a wonderful experience. Jennifer, the server, was amazing. The food and atmosphere was everything we wanted and more. Food was so good. I had been there for dinner, but not of our group had never been before. Everyone raved about the food. The deviled eggs were so good and my steak was cooked perfectly. Thank you for making our event special!
Was greatly disappointed. Food was overpriced. Had a $65 dollar ribeye and was quite tough and full of grizzle. Had to send back the halibut with one bite taken. They did not take it off the bill until I insisted. The quail was served in an empty bowl with no sauce or garnish. It was just a tiny bird in a plate. We were a party of 8 and only 2 people enjoyed their dinner, with a bill near $700. I don't mind the money. I just wish we would have felt the value in it. The place is pretty and had a nice atmosphere but would sadly not return.
This quaint, little piece of divine goodness has a marvelous atmosphere that can accommodate a romantic date night, or a casual outing with fiends. The food is beyond delicious, the quality superseded my expectations, and the service is impeccable. You will not go wrong, paying them a visit.
The food, service, and atmosphere receive 5 stars. However, I have to give a one star for an overall rating. The bill revealed a “dual price” charge that was not explained prior to the bill presentation. I’m fine with any charges as long as they are explained BEFORE the receipt is presented. Honesty and integrity is as important, if not more important, than the overall dining experience. Buyer beware.
What a great place to grab some food!!! The staff was so friendly. They let us try samples before we bought our food. We're from Arizona and never had Louisiana food. This place is delicious. Definitely stop in, if your in the area.
This place is absolutely amazing! The waitress was awesome and very attentive and the food was to die for! I hate spinach and artichoke dip, but there's is sooooooo good! I highly recommend the sweet pizza sauce and the meaty spaghetti. Definitely 5

We love Streetside. We are local and if we decide to go out to eat, 95% of the time it's Streetside. My husband and daughter can get sushi and I can get my favorite won ton soup and pizza. Their drinks are good and the atmosphere is relaxing and nic
Didn't spend time inside the main bar area. I attended a Queer North shore Meetup event and we hung out across the street. I believe that is where the food area is. I was there on a Wednesday evening and the kitchen isn't open Monday through Wednesda

Calm, quiet, leisurely shopping visit. The young woman on staff offered me a free coffee with cream and sugar ð¥°. News to me, they sell coffee beans and grind them up for you. The coffee was good btw lol. Clean shop. Whimsical feel. Garden acces
