Nice little area for an evening stroll or a flat easy hike, total trails in the area are about 4 miles if you complete all the loops. Very close to Hillsboro. Lots of birds chirping and blossoms. Only saw a few people, most were wearing masks (some weren't, so please wear a mask and follow social distancing).
Great place to visit if your a nature person or birder.
You get close to the ponds and river.
Saw 30+ species of birds And Fowl
Lots of trails and viewing stands. Great place to see lots of birds. Parents should keep an eye on youngsters. Be sure to stop at the visitor center. Just need a bit of rain.
Once you get about half a mile from the parking area, the noises from passing cars fade away and you're able to best observe the natural beauty of the Jackson Bottom Wetlands. Trails are a mix of rocks, bark chips, and pavement, though paved walkways are primarily only around the main building.
Gorgeous scenic views of nature. Well maintained. A nice display of wildlife inside. A great little store with books and little gifts for purchase. Kind friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean bathrooms inside.
Fantastic trails that meander along tje Tualatin and look out to ponds and wetlands. There are numerous places for bird watching. The downside is that no dogs are allowed.
Great trails to walk, but don't bring your dog! Just today we saw a deer, a Bald Eagle, White Egrets, and Blue Herons.
A nice, unexpected find. It has a visitors center, relatively even trails but not paved. The lake is real pretty and there’s a lot of bird watching to be done here.
