Great views! Nice place to get a great beach view during the summer or winter. You always get a great view since it is right on the beach located in the Dream Inn beachfront hotel. They serve brunch, lunch and dinner. I had brunch on this day, and it was delicious. I had the ham & Gruyère quiche with hash browns. The quiche was packed full of flavor! I will definitely be back for this again. They also have soups and salads, and lots of entrees to choose from as well. They also have great appetizers and an awesome happy hour menu. Great atmosphere. Service was good, and of course, the views were amazing as always. Definitely should try this spot if you haven’t yet. You don’t have to stay here to eat at the restaurant.

This place next to the beach ⛱️ is a fun lively atmosphere. The food was delicious 😋 and expensive! I liked the decor alot as well now as far as the service. Well it was attentive but also incredibly slow. I was with a large party for a birthday but it wasn't that busy. The food came out at odd times someone would get a salad. Then 30 minutes later another person would get there salad it was bizarre. The server was knowledgeable of the menu and was friendly. We were all there for 3 and half hours which is a very long time to be at a restaurant. Getting the check for our table was a bit of a nightmare. We asked to split it but they didn't do it. So they had to go back and fix it which took a very very long time. All in all I had a good time with family but they need better timing for the service even the drinks took almost an hour to receive when first arriving.

Always great service. Chef/kitchen consistently puts out great food. Bar area is more casual than the dining room (and offers less of a view), with a great drink selection. The view of Steamer's Lane surf spot and Santa Cruz Main Beach Pier is outstanding day or night, with ocean surf or lights reflecting off of the waves, and is definitely priced heavily into bar/menu items (despite the selection being solid). The ribeye is a great option on the dinner menu, and is probably 1.5 portions.

Restaurant service was amazing! Our waiter. Can't remember his name. Tall white, blonde hair with glasses. Extremely personal made us feel very comfortable...looking for to coming back. We had the special and and rib eye steak. The lounge staff wasn't helpful at alot. It made us feel we were bothering them...still tip 30% to the young women.

Lovely atmosphere with killer views of the ocean, Santa Cruz pier and down the street to the Boardwalk. Food was exceptional and fresh. Service was fast and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back.

I selected this place primarily for its stunning view. The food, however, left much to be desired. I ordered the poke bowl and found it disappointingly bland; it lacked the expected salty and flavorful punch. My friend's burger was average at best. The absence of parking facilities was another inconvenience. Overall, the experience was just okay. The saving grace was the beautiful view, although even that was marred by dirty windows.

Jack O’Neil's Restaurant and Lounge at the Dream Inn Hotel. This spot has great views and is right on the beach. You have full ocean views while in the dining room. For starters, we got the house-made kettle chips, and they were delicious. I got the chicken sliders on the happy hour menu. I did not try the octopus, but my friend who ordered it said it was amazing! Great atmosphere and views! Food isn’t bad.

Beautiful views from this restaurant and great food. My only complaint is that the portions could’ve been bigger for the price. I got the banana French toast and my husband got the huevos rancheros. Both were delicious. My coffee was just okay.
