Very beautiful and fun place to visit, plenty of trails and quiet spots to have a picnic or a campsite. Just bring cash to pay for the entry, it's $3 per person or $6 per vehicle.
Been coming here for years. Not what it use to be. But it’s an amazing place. Please be aware of hunting season. And always go out there prepared. Full tank of fuel, water, and food/snacks. Make sure you have a good spare tire and basic hand tools. A nice walkie talkie is always a plus or if you have a gps phone. There is no cell service out there. Enjoy.
You like outdoor and drive through dirt roads? Here is a place for you! J.W Corbett is beautiful place nature full of wildlife. If you decide to visit make sure your tank if’s full of gas, because is all nature and far,there’s no phone reception as well. Is a nice please to get away from all city life!
Beautiful place to drive around or even camp out. Gorgeous and very relaxing.
Terrible main roads! Not safe for a family car, my beater SUV that I modified for hunting was still taking terrible abuse if I tried to go over 25 miles per hour. Really speed humps/ bumps on the main roads as if anyone can speed over the potholes and mud puddles !? JW Corbett: Please repair and modify the roads. Also I observed a giant swamp buggy with eight dogs on it and 6 heavily armed hunters trailblazing/ making their own pathways through the brush while spewing diesel and oil! Wow, No agency inspects these swamp buggies for fuel/ oil leaks like they do at Big Cypress? Wow terrible! Thanks JP <><🙏✝️ = ❤️😀☮️
Amazing Wildlife Management Area, from heavy duty nature, to several amazing primitive campsites, this place has all you need to have fun. Several off-road trails, just be smart, do not get off-road unless you are fully prepared, a 4x4 is a must during summer time.
Spent the weekend with the FTA Loxahatchee Chapter, hiked the Ocean to Lake Hiking Trail to the Little Gopher Campsite. The campsite is great, there is a firepit with 4 long benches around it and two poles for bags. The campsite is huge and well maintained. The water source is west of the camp at Big Gopher Canal.
