J Peters Grill & Bar - Bar & grill in Anderson - 202 S Main St, USA

We have always loved J Peters. It has been almost 10 years since we moved from Anderson to Phoenix. It was so nice to see this place still serving quality food, generous portions and all with excellent and friendly service. We had the Prime Rib and Sirloin and Shrimp with a house salad. Both were phenomenal. The atmosphere is great in ole downtown Anderson. Hopefully it won't be so long before we can come back.

We eat here frequently. The food is always good. Today we had lunch and Mike was our server. He was a nice guy and very attentive to our needs. Our go to food here is the chicken strip plate. There’s enough food on the plate to split it between both of our girls (and add on a 2nd salad and have strips to top my salad). It’s not the cheapest but for the atmosphere, food quality and service, the price reflects. Good food, family atmosphere, kind/attentive service. Fantastic vibe here, didn’t leave there hungry either. Brittany at the bar was really cool, steered me in the right direction, the slow cooked Prime Rib was phenomenal. Will certainly hit this spot again next time here.

It’s always good for a father to have lunch with his son. The food was delicious. Our server was awesome… I got to spend some quality time with my son, trying to impart knowledge and wisdom..Listening, catching up with him and what’s going on in his world..He is a Business major at Anderson University. Thank You J Peters for delicious food and a perfect environment for a father-son lunch on a Veterans Day weekend.

Today is Friday, December 8th 12:00pm. I called the restaurant more than 10 times.I started calling at 11:00am. The hostess answered the phone twice and transferred me to the bar for a take out order. No one answered the phone and it ringed until it went to voice-mail. This continued over and over. The hostess said that she would walk over to bar and tell them to answer the phone. I continued to call and still no answer. I asked to speak to the manager once my fiancee got to the restaurant to order our food. I believe that one of the other employees pretended to be the manager. She asked if there was a problem. Sounded like she had an attitude and did nothing to correct the problem. After a $25 meal and 10 phone calls with no answer. She could have offered a free drink at least. If you experience this please ask for a manager. Let them know that the staff is not doing their job. So this will not continue to go on!😠

When J . Peter's first opened I thought that it was the best around but the menu has shrunk too much. The time before last we went there the bacon on the salad was raw but the employee pretty much called us stupid. The last time I ordered shrimp and flounder and they brought me salmon. When I talked to the waitress she tried to tell me that it was white fish. They don't even have white fish on the menu. I'm 67 years old and eat more fish than any other meat. I don't have to pay to be insulted.

Had the early bird special of the blackened salmon with loaded mashed potatoes and house salad. With loaded potato skins! Apple pie with ice cream on top!! Everything was so good!

Excellent place for a great meal. The she crab soup was delicious! Croissants are definitely worth getting. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
