Family owned very welcoming great tables
Ivory billiards has always been five stars in my book! However, I’m really bummed that they’re not open during the day anymore on the weekends. I would love to be able to bring my son down there and teach him how to play pool. It’s not really appropriate for a 15-year-old at night though. That’s my only complaint. I’ve been shooting pool there since I was a teenager and I haven’t been there in a while… But I was thinking about taking my son down and just noticed that now you guys don’t open till six. In the winter, especially, I wish this something you would reconsider!
Not from the area, live in upstate NY but was in the area and went because I play 3 cushion billiards and there are so few places to play billiards. Place was very busy, especially for a weekday night. I rented the single table in the place and before long another customer asked me if I gamble. I initially told him no but after a minute I said I'd play him a game for 5 bucks. Had a good time, by the looks of this place pool is not dead in Holyoke. If my experience is any indication, if you want action you can find it at Ivory.
Best 🎱 ball pool place in town.
Plenty of 7 ft and 9 ft tables to choose from. Semi private room in the back. Vintage look.
Some people wonder why I spend so much time driving out to Ivory Billiards in Holyoke when yes, I can play just as often, MUCH closer to home in New York.. Fun with people who have become friends, doing something we all love, is why I drive 64 miles one way, 3+ times per week!!!! I've been to many pool halls and bars that have a junk box to play on with some random drunk guy, that is missing a front tooth and wants to "teach" me to play... Sure. Those are everywhere, but you won't find this kind of dynamic there. The owners are awesome and very engaged with their establishment. Always stopping in to say hi or shoot a game of pool. They have a full hall of 7 and 9 foot tables with clean, tight cloth and rails that hit true to what you're trying to do. And the amazing people I have met and the friendships that I have made while playing pool at Ivory are above and beyond anything I have found elsewhere. We don't just show up to the pool hall, sit in the corner until it is our turn, shoot our match and leave. The dynamic is COMPLETELY different! We actually enjoy each others company while we shoot our matches and even hang out hours after our match is finished, having a few drinks and playing more pool til the place closes down. Also, thanks to the other shooters there and the tips they have offered me, I have grown a lot as a player. I'm not the 2 I used to be. ;) I can't thank the guys and gals at Ivory enough for all they have done for me. Much love to all of you! Seriously! Ok. I'm done!!!! See you guys tonight! UPDATE*** I first write this 3+ months ago. I was making the trip out so much as it was... I now work behind the bar 2 nights a week! For a total in the building of 6+... between league nights and bartending. Come say hi. :)
Laid back atmosphere, clean, and cheap to play a few rounds of pool.
Nice pool hall with plenty of tables and charges hourly, pro tables and smaller ones. Good drinks and food is ok, and great times. They do hold tournament every now and then but still tables for rent.

Definitely a 5 star place to hike. Definitely in moderate hike with some up-and-down sleep parts. Lot of rocks scrambles in certain areas but my dog was able to make it. I didn't entirely from the alltrails app and definitely recommend it I also got
A wonderful place for a walk or run, though no dogs are allowed at Whiting. If you have a dog and want to take a walk, take the M-M hiking trail up the hill from the parking area.
My kids (boy 10, twin girls 2) love it here. The gentleman who sits in the front is always kind and helpful. There really something to do for everyone. There is so much to learn and keep the kiddos entertained. It's always clean and you can see the s
