Food is to die for but they’re definitely short staffed and management needs changes. I’ve been here a couple times both before Itto Sushi joined and after, and I do have to say that it improved drastically after changing, but some other things went down with it. This review will be for the actual restaurant since there’s no point about talking about the previous one. Service is usually fantastic but as far as my experience goes, they only have a lady serving during the mornings doing everything and on the weekends there seems to be only 3 people taking care of the whole restaurant, mind you this is a big restaurant so 3 people for like 50 tables is close to nothing, and don’t get me started about the single waitress in the morning; they’re always running around but they try their best and have good customer service skills. And now, the only real complain I have is the management, I’m not sure if it’s the owner or the manager but there’s a man taking care of the restaurant that’s always raising his voice at the staff. I like to sit on the tables close to the sushi bar and I often hear him complaining about the staff and even saying bad/gross things about the clients, music is usually low so it’s easy for anyone to pick up what he’s saying, it makes me feel uneasy and turns the vibe heavy. Last time I was there it was particularly bad, he was real mad and constantly raising his voice at the servers, yelling at the other staff, he would check on the tables or deliver sushi with a heavy frown on his face, and then he’d leave the sushi bar for minutes on end when all the other staff were getting slammed. With all due respect, the person in charge needs some real attitude change and communication training. Other than that, the food is fantastic, definitely one of the best I’ve tried in SLC. But you don’t only go to a restaurant to eat, you also go to relax and have some fun, and taking into consideration what I said, it’s hard to be there because the overall vibe feels chaotic. Not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon but I seriously hope they change, for both their clients and staff sake.

I came for the Korean food and was not disappointed. Ban Chan was on point :crisp, crunchy flavorful. The Bimibop was good but the egg was overcooked and the rice hadn't gotten than golden crisp that I love in a stone bowl. The Kimchi pancake was good. The Japchae was good but served hot not cold version. If the rice was golden crispy and the egg was runny enough to mix into the rice better I would have given this a score of 5 stars.

This used to be my favorite Korean restaurant but they've gone downhill. My ramen tofu soup had zero flavor. After telling the waitress twice that I wanted it spicy, she still wrote mild on the order and it was bland. She also failed to mention that it costs an extra $3 for rice. It used to be included with the soup! So my small bowl of gross soup and small bowl of rice was $18.95 🤦🏻‍♀️ Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

TL;DR - The food is delicious and the space is nice to eat in. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. My wife and I had the beef bulgogi, the soft tofu soup with ramen, beef and mushrooms, and the firebird sushi roll (a personal favorite of mine because of its unique smoky flavor—they light it on fire). The broth was flavorful and perfectly spiced and the bulgogi was delicious with lots of meat. Also, the sides (bean sprouts, sweet potato, kimchi, broccoli, and pickled cucumbers) were fresh and well prepared. For dessert we had the red bean shaved ice and it was amazing. The portion size was huge and the ice was finely shaved. A must try! Big shout out to Oscar. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers and we enjoyed chatting with him. Thanks for a great experience and we look forward to returning again soon.

Love the atmosphere, ample parking. However, the food was simply lacking freshness. I ordered the seafood tofu soup and the rice was hardened and 1/4 of it was inedible because of how dried it was. I could tell the rice had been left out for hours. The seaweed salad was also lacking freshness. The seaweed didn't have the crunch to it. Service was good, but not great. Not likely to return due to mediocre food quality.

Their food was great...I think the mango sake made me sick...too much sugar or something..

Best sushi in West Valley. Korean bbq and Japanese sushi in one place! Sushi roll recommendations: - Scallop Dream - Firebird - Romeo & Juliet Korean food recommendations: - Kalbi or Bulgogi - Sundubu soups

I had a good experience thanks to our attentive server of red cap who made our dining very enjoyable. The sushi beautifully presented, HOWEVER, I must note that the sushi chef behavior was disappointing, as they seemed uninterested in addressing customer concerns, also he was super rude talking very bad to his workers, funny thing our table know Spanish so we now you where talking bad about everyone, I think that was super disrespectful. Despite that shortcoming, the excellent service from the server and delicious sushi make Itto Sushi worth visiting.
