ITH San Francisco Pacific Tradewinds Hostel - Youth Hostel in San Francisco - 680 Sacramento St, USA

I enjoyed my week at this hostel. The staff was very welcoming. Easy to find and get situated. When I visit SF again I WILL be staying here!!! The dorms and bathrooms were clean. They let us leave our bags there before check in and after check out until we left. Very cute hostel and helpful staff.

I stayed here for over a week, one of my longest stays during my US trip. This Hostel is a gem. The staff and volunteers are super nice, helpful and friendly. There are Hostel organized activities every day of the week and they never get boring. The Hostel is cleaned daily and I've met a lot of other travelers there. As a solo traveling woman I welt safe, too. Also they have a real kitchen where you can cook, not only a microwave!! ITH has multiple Hostels in California and I enjoyed my stay in SF so much that I visited their locations in Santa Barbara and San Diego as well 😂

Probably the best experience ive ever had at a hostel ever. The location is great, and makes travelling really easy. The staff do an excellent job of making sure the place is tidy and are really proactive with activities. Which in my opinion is the best part of this hostel, if you're here for a while you'll definitely make friends :)

I really enjoyed my stay there, this staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms and common places are clean. The situation is super good, easy transportation nearby. Breakfast is included even though you'll have to make it yourself, everything is ready to use and the kitchen is well organized 👌

My trip was 60% business in San Francisco and 40% time off as I finally chose to gift myself with a trip to the city I love most. I chose Pacific Tradewinds Hostel because of its excellent rating and location (financial district, Chinatown). And I was not disappointed! On the contrary, my stay and interaction with other guests and the staff exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by Margot when I arrived and had insightful and meaningful conversations with Asad. All the staff love what they do, which generates good vibes and a sense of belonging for travelers. The young guests I interacted with were also quiet and polite, as well as my female dorm mates. I had fun with the activities the staff organizes every day (trivia, social BBQ), and I wish I could stay longer for more. Most importantly. Premises, rooms, and restrooms are spotty clean, including the most essential restroom areas. Cleanliness is factor N.1 for me. I felt very safe walking in this part of the city and was pleasantly surprised at how well-kept and clean the streets and curbs are. The Asian food here is terrific, and just that is worth the trip. The only (minor) cons are the stairs as the hostel is on the 3rd and 4th floors. However, I found the exercise very beneficial, and I plan to return when another opportunity arises. This hostel is very friendly and felt very comfortable for not only very young guests. Staff was amazingly friendly and approachable, they always organized activities in the evenings for everyone who wanted to participate. Carpets could be cleaner and the water in one shower didn't flow off well. Good location and great value during my stay in October 2023.

I've travelled a lot, and this is by far one of the best hostels I've ever been to. It's central without being in a rowdy area. It has a very homey feel, a nice common area for hanging about and chatting with other travellers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It's always clean, and the beds are amongst the comfiest I've ever had at a hostel. Just mind the stairs, there's a lot of them.

Nice place, super friendly staff. Every night has a community event of sorts to meet other guests and have fun, when I arrived it was a barbecue night, including a delicious vegan option. Free breakfast every morning as well. Only thing you might watch out for is climbing the stairs to the 4th floor which might be difficult for some.
