Italia Deli & Bakery - Deli in Agoura Hills - 5657 Kanan Rd, USA

One of the last few classic Italian delis. Great sandwiches and they will make them exactly how you ask. I normally get just Prosciutto parma and fresh mozzarella with lots of olive oil on the crusty Italian bread. They make it perfectly and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

The actual best sandwiches on earth! When I lived out of state and would visit, I made sure to get Italia every time. Now that we have moved back, we come here frequently, and not just for sandwiches! They have excellent fresh and frozen Italian food and really good imported products. If I could eat here every day, I would!

I walked into Italia Deli around 3 pm on a brisk Sunday afternoon. I was met with a nice gentle face of a high school student. His attractive features including his mud brown eyes, his relaxing smile and most importantly: his shirt popping muscles that made me feel flustered. As our interaction continued, he informed me on MULTIPLE different cheeses and meats allowing for me to make a fitting purchase. Consider me Satisfied.

The management was simple awful. I requested specifically for a manager, expecting the best service, and instead I got possible the rudest person I have ever met. It was the short female manager, extremely short, kinda large, and with an extremely rude attitude. I asked for my bread cut thin on the bottom, yet she INSISTED that it was cut large. She forced me to embarrassingly explain that my bottom teeth do not function very well, and after a very condescending remark she huffed and she puffed her way to a new loaf of bread and cut it while murmuring to her self and giving me nasty looks. She did NOT ask me what I wanted on my sandwich, she DID not ask me if what she was doing was okay, she DID not use the same method that other management uses, which ultimately made my sandwich taste very poor and as if I had made it at home. After she messed up my order, ruined my day, and embarrassed me in front of a long line, SHE DIDNT EVEN SEPARATE THE RECYCLING OR THE GARBAGE. I mean jesus people. If you are gonna have a recycling bin at least use it. In short, I will be contacting the health inspector due to the incredible unsanitary conditions I observed within the kitchen, dining in area, and the work areas. I will be making a follow up post on my local facebook group to ensure my friends and family do not get scammed for their money at this horrible and right-wing operation.

Their deli sandwiches are so fresh and delicious! It’s always a treat to get food from Italia Deli. Also they carry great Italian imported food products which are hard to find anywhere. Highly recommended!!!

I was so disappointed. I used their website and found it very user unfriendly. I only get 30 minutes for lunch. I placed my order at 12:05 I arrived at 12:58 and my order still had not been made. I was told to take a number and if my order was not completed by the time they called my number it would be completed at that time. They called my number, there was at least 6-7 people before me, my order had still not been started. Once my 2 small sandwich order was prepared, I took my them and hurried back to work arriving past the 30 minutes I was allowed for my lunch. I will probably return in the future when I have no time restrictions, but I will probably never go on a lunch break ever again. Their sandwiches are very good but I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with this result. I hope it's important enough to them to make some changes. So they can keep customer's as repeat returning customers not just those that try once and never come back!

I worked in the same center for years and would go to them at least twice a week. Still to this day, the BEST deli I've been to. I need to go back soon!

this place is amazing. i went in for the first time in total awe of how much original home made products they have! i was greeted with a warm welcome and asked if i needed help or anything explained. i was also walking around recording for an Italian friend of mine and it even made him miss home! i ended up ordering a small Italian cold cuts on soft bread with provolone, and everything on it. it was so fresh and delicious, i can’t wait to go back to explore more and try new things! whoever runs this place really nailed the small town homey atmosphere. top tier!
