You will learn everything that you want to know about the salmon lifecycle here. It's best to visit during the Salmon Days festival in October. The salmon ladder is impressive. The docents can answer any questions.

Cool to see the fish ladder in action! Holding tanks full of coho and chinook salmon.

A great place to walk thru and see salmon in various phases. Beautiful mosaic artwork too!

I was visiting it for the salmon run, Chinook and Coho. It's a beautiful place with river, viewing area and a small indoor exhibition, video center and gift shop. I saw so many salmon jumping and they are shut out because the facility is at capacity. I think it's unfortunately that a lot of salmon can't get home at their last leg of life trying to go home. They jump straight into the iron gate and concrete wall that stops them. The facility maybe could help manage it by increasing the capacity or maybe not dam the river to create a more natural habitat. That's the only reason to give 4 stars.

Great place to watch and learn more about salmon! You get to see salmon try to jump up stream, watch the fry swim around, watch the eggs hatch (if you go at the right time), and watch the entire life cycle in action! Great place to just hang out in a calm environment too!

Great place to learn about Salmon. Summer is off season so only the fry are there.

Great way to see live salmon and learn about their lifecycle. The hatchery has a nice education center and a self-guided tour that walks you through the raising and releasing of the fish that replenish stocks. Wonderful for kids and adults. Check the site and come when the fish are climbing the ladders.
