honestly just a nice spot to get some quiet & see some nature, that's what we were looking for after a day at the beach and doing our usual touristy ocean city stuff, and we wound up stopping here on two different days.
during the day you'll see a bunch of little crabs everywhere (horrible quality from my phone, but you can see them in the fourth pic)
hope to come back by this little place the next time i'm back in ocean city!
I saw this nature park sign, I had to stop quickly for a peek. When you go down the lane turn to your left and park in the parking lot. I found the first walkway across from the parking lot . It's a long long plankway bridge to walk out to view the marshlands and then out into the bay. There were people out there fishing having a blast. Also, there was an abundance of wildlife to see. Birds, seagulls , cranes and herons, stunning. Tide was coming in and the jellyfish had schooled under the bridge walkway. This was around 10am. We came back for the sunset and got AMAZING PICTURES .....I HIGHLY recommend seeing the sun go down out on the plankways.
Good view, nice pier. Very small park, for as big as the isle is. I'm happy there's protected space for the plants and animals! Just not really a place to explore.
Absolutely gorgeous views. Must-see.
Not enough shade at this park in the community areas, most the shade is literally inside the woods that you park in front of. You can fish here. Free. Not a real busy park. Piers. Not good for swimming. dog friendly.
Fav spot by boat! Great little hangout spot w/ very tiny beach area. But never too crowded hopefully stays that way. Not too many people know about it but if you know you know, ya know🤣🤟🏻🌅
Beautiful view
Sea breeze so good
What a pleasant surprise. Within 15 minutes of arriving we saw a Bald Eagle, an Osprey, a Green Heron and a sandpiper. Quite a fun place for a quick visit to see lots of wildlife.
