Isle of Palms Motel - Motel in Wildwood - 3200 Atlantic Ave, USA

I stayed at this hotel for the second, and definitely last year in a row. Last year I would have given it three stars, this year it gets one. Let's start with the positives. It is only a block from the boardwalk which was nice. Also each room comes with two separate bedrooms which makes it great for families. That's about it. As for the negatives, there are several. First, checkin isn't until 4pm and checkout is at 10am. You would think the fact that they have a late checkin time and an early checkout time would mean that the rooms would be well cleaned. Nope, couldn't be further from the truth. There was dirt and garbage everywhere when we got there. There were also no towels in our room, we had to go down to the lobby to request them. I don't know if they need to hire more housekeeping staff or what, but our room was not cleaned once the whole weekend we were there. Beyond that, they would only take dirty towels and leave new ones if someone was in the room to bring them the towels and take the clean ones. If no one was in the room, we got no clean towels. Now onto the beds. The bed frames that they have are made for full size mattresses, not queen or king, so the sides of the mattress were always hanging off the sides of the frame, making it feel like you could fall off the bed at any moment. The bedding was also not well cared for. I am automatically hesitant of bedding that is not white since it cannot be sanitized with bleach. The sheets at this hotel are pink. One of our sheets also had a hole in it that seemed to be from a cigarette burn. Then there was the bathroom. It was by far the dirtiest room in the suite, and the plumbing needs a major upgrade. The water that came from the sink or shower was never consistent, and often was so hot that I couldn't stand to be under it. Even the toilet water got so hot that steam was coming from it. The sink also only has two settings, off or water pressure so high it soaks your clothes. In stark contrast to the showers, the hot tub was never hot. It was lukewarm most of the time and most of the jets didn't work. The pool too was supposed to be heated, but was not. I would recommend this hotel only to broke college students on spring break who don't mind putting up with some discomfort and uncleanliness for a weekend at the beach. If you do choose to stay here make sure to bring your own towels, toilet paper, and a broom.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are quite spacious but have like 0 outlets. Some rooms have coffee makers while others do not. Our towels sucked and were too small so bring your own.

Location was good but inside the room needs a lot of changes. Beddings very old, feels like sands on it, blinds were falling apart when opening it to get some sunshine in room, hot water is more than cold water when taking a shower so extra careful not to get skin burnt, sink has been leaking, some towels look like rug because it supposed to be white color but gave us grayish color so didn't use it for face. The cable TV was poor and snowy, fan in bathroom was very noisy, art decor is off the wall, no toilet tissue when we came in, tissue holder was broken. Only refrigerator and air conditioner works fine. That's all!

Unfortunately, there is no zero for grading- if so that would be the grading. For the price of $600 for 2 nights absolutely outrageous for the service. The room is dirty with nasty bathroom, old towels that are shredding with dirty stains. The shower curtain dirty with mildew. The shower stall horrendous with walls dirty and dirt on tiles. The microwave was dirty and smelly. The floors also dirty and no mats on tile floors. The mattress too big for the platform bed- as a result mattress falling over. The TV was not working in second room. The AC was loud and old with no power to properly cool room. The elevator was dirty and smelly. Overall, this place is grimy and dirty. They should be closed down or invest in renovation. I hope that this review brings awareness- as it’s not legal to charge anyone for this can of service.

I went last year. There was a couch and an oven. Now there is neither. Im not sure why they removed it. The bed is very uncomfortable at least for me, my neck has been hurting a lot. The bathroom was clean but the main room was dirty around the bed. The bathroom is okay. The location is really nice since it’s close to the boardwalk.

Check in wasn't until 4 pm and John got us in there earlier, which made a big difference 5 of us coming from north jersey. It also helped because I had my mother and god mother with me, whom have certain medical conditions. On check out date, they also allowed me to stay parked well after my check out time. My daughter enjoyed herself all night in the pool with the other kids.They could use newer tvs though.

Positive: The location was good. The room size was massive. It was actually a suite. The refrigerator was big. good. Wi-Fi reception was very good. Private balcony on the street side of the suite. Parking was adequate. Negative: No one appeared to be on duty in the office at night so you wouldn't want to get locked out of your room at night. Cable TV was poor. The rooms could be better lit, dark inside. There were very few outlets. Charging devices meant unplugging the TV.

The location is prime to the boardwalk. 1 block and you are on the boards in the middle of the action...rooms..AC unit doesn't sit properly in window so you see outside I stuffed towels along side both units as to not have bugs in room...only very hot water in bathroom (skin ripping hot) the door does not sit properly in the frame so you can see light coming in but it does lock. The hotel needs love a lot of love..parked underneath like they tell you too and something dropped from above on my car hood and stained it I took it to the car wash but it's still there will have to have it detailed now. Blinds on windows don't close and open properly so we had to hang a towel over bedroom window..they never came to clean the room while we were there, towels in bathroom were old but clean. If they just paid attention to the small stuff it would be a much better hotel. Huge marijuana smell in parking deck and elevator.
