The food was fabulous and the service was alright. The dressing on my salad was really good and the fries were nice and hot. The service was okay. I’m still eating my salad and the server asked if we wanted dessert. I’m still eating my salad and then she drops off the check. I’m not sure if that is Island’s SOP but I don’t like it. We felt very rushed. But at least the food was good.

We usually love going to islands, it's been great, HOWEVER, AMANDA has ruined our experience here. For sure, today, 11-17-23. Her service, friendliness, attentiveness, attitude SUCKED!!! Ruined our lunch, our experience there. Don't know why AMANDA was so cruel, cold, heartless with us but IT WAS THE WORSE. I was starving and really wanted to eat, otherwise, we would have walked out.

Busy Sunday afternoon...waitress was great. Didn't have the 1st beer I asked for, but enjoyed the one I tried in its place. My fries were very salty, compared with the 2nd basket on our table. Otherwise food was great, and I got to watch the NFL game I wanted to see that was not available on cable as a bonus!

Normally I would NEVER give a bad review.. but I'm hoping this will help the restaurant. The food was very bland, overcooked and took forever to come out. I have to say, I've eaten at the Islands in Long Beach, and it was AMAZING! So I was really disappointed here. Especially because I hyped it up to my family and it was their first time here. They probably won't be back. 😥I, however, believe in second chances. So I'll try again. If it's better, I'll absolutely change this review. Sorry guys... Re review: 12/7/2022 Went for dinner tonight. Let me just say... they redeemed themselves 100%!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The food was DELICIOUS!! Everything was made/cooked/served exactly the way we ordered it. Thank you Island's (and Joey our server) for the great food and service! So guys, if something isn't great the first time, don't just walk away... always try to give it a second chance. More than likely, you won't be disappointed that you did. 😉

Really enjoyed dinner here last night with the family but I have a couple of comments/suggestions... It would be so nice if the menu could indicate clearly what you can order if you are vegan. Also, don't assume people want straws!! They are extra plastic waste that are completely unnecessary! Last thing the fries were way, way over-salted. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Stopped in for a VERY affordable lunch. Lauren was our server and she was FANTASTIC. Never missed a beat, had refils on the table before we even asked, and was friendly even during the lunch rush.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Islands Restaurant in West Covina, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a vibrant and fun atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The service at Islands Restaurant was truly exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. I felt warmly welcomed throughout my entire time at the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food! I decided to try the highly recommended Kilauea burger, and it exceeded all expectations. The combination of flavors was simply mouthwatering. The juicy, flame-grilled patty topped with melted cheese, sautéed onions, and spicy jalapeños created an explosion of deliciousness with every bite. It was perfectly complemented by the slightly sweet and smoky notes of the Kilauea sauce. The burger was served on a toasted bun that added a nice touch of texture to each mouthful. I can confidently say that the Kilauea burger at Islands Restaurant is a must-try for burger enthusiasts. To accompany my burger, I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. They were an absolute delight! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these fries were the perfect balance of sweetness and savory goodness. They were expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection, leaving me wanting more with every bite. Beyond the delectable food, the lively atmosphere at Islands Restaurant added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience. The tropical-themed decor, with bamboo accents and surfboard-shaped tables, transported me to a beachside paradise. The upbeat music and friendly chatter from other diners created an energetic and welcoming ambiance that made me feel right at home. In conclusion, my visit to Islands Restaurant in West Covina was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of the mouthwatering Kilauea burger, delectable sweet potato fries, and the fun-filled atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal served with a side of great service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Islands Restaurant in West Covina is a gem worth exploring, and I can't wait to return for more delightful dining adventures!
