The nachos really hit the spot to get us started. Overall the portions and service was really good. Not much of a fan of the corn tortillas used for the tacos. Next time I would ask for the flour shells if there is an option. Parking was relatively easy and free!

The hostesses was welcoming and friendly. She was the perfect person for that job. She made me feel like like we were friends 😊. We opted for the patio on this hot summer night. Sitting in the patio gave us the opportunity to enjoy the live music going going in the courtyard. Our waitress came over and got started with our drink orders. She came back very fast will our drinks and promptly took or dinner order. Our food was delivered just as fast as our drinks. The food was seasoned well and full of flavor. I had the fully stuffed tacos! Delicious 😋. We received a proper portion of food for the price.

We love Islands, and this was our first time at this particular location. The food was great, our waitress was attentive and friendly. The location was kept clean throughout our visit. There was an incident I wanted to address, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Upon delivery of our appetizers, a burrito was placed in front of my fiancé by another employee. He ordered the burrito as his entree so I thought it was weird it would come with the appetizers. Turns out it was for the table next to us. Now my fiancé didn't touch the burrito, and I don't work in the food industry, but I would assume it's standard protocol that once a plate is placed in front of a person by mistake, that the food would be discarded or be given the option to keep it. Well, the employee came back, asked my fiancé to remove the pineapple grind he had put on the plate, picked up the plate, and tried to deliver it to the other table! We were all shocked. The staff was apologetic to the other table, but I do hope they know how inappropriate it was. I don't like wasting food either, but would never serve something that was already served to a complete stranger.

I went in with my three young children and the staff was very accommodating. We sat outside and the manager came out to ask if we would feel more comfortable inside since it could have sprinkled a bit. That was very nice to have that kind of experience with the manager making sure everything was comfortable for me and my kids.

Island's always has a nice atmosphere, great food and good service. This location is in Redondo Beach, California, and it is my favorite. Island's is a small chain so it differs little from place to place. But the service can be lacking in one and great in another. The food is really great. They have upgraded their meats and their burgers are wonderful and you have a large selection from which to choose. They also have great sides and their nachos are the bomb. Parking is easy and the service was very friendly and they checked on us several times.

We sat outside on the patio dining area and it was very chill and relaxing. Our server was awesome! She was attentive and on point. The burgers were good but not great. It was on the dry side, and very thin. The fries was very salty. The Cheesy Loaded Fries was very good though. Beer on tap was cold, Mai Tai was strong at a Happy Hour price.

Great burgers at a good price. The server was quick and attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Quality usually suffers at chain restaurants over time, but islands has stayed consistent over the years.

Will not go again / Price = ~$8 happy hour food / Service = below average, inattentive / Speed = below average / cleanliness = average Ordered 3 happy hour foods: sliders, nachos, and cheese fries. All 3 are not recommended. The sliders are dry, cooked too well, and nothing unique even though they are sliders. The nachos are one of the worse cheese nachos I had. Applebee's even has better nachos. The cheese fries taste odd. They are also one of the poorer items compared to other chains. Although happy hour items are typically not better than the main menu, Island's happy hour menu is very poor. I am not planning for another visit ever following this experience. Only reason for a 2 star is this the location.
