Islander Beach Resort - Resort hotel in New Smyrna Beach - 1601 S Atlantic Ave, USA

We had a great time. Beautiful views, lots of space in the room. Lots of fun activities for the kids. The pool was big and had a basketball hoop. There was time for ping pong competitions, bingo, volleyball net, shuffleboard, clearly a resort caring about being a top notch resort. There were beach chairs to borrow, and some boogie boards. The waves are great. It met all my hopes for a perfect family vacation.

It's like heaven on earth! Great location! Tons of activities during the day....bingo, shuffleboard tournament, cornhole tournament and ping pong tournament! Ice cream, burgers and hot dogs were delicious! Staff is outstanding! Beach was awesome! See you next year and the year after and the year after that!

I’m booked a room that I thought was sea view but when we checked into room it was a mainland view and filthy. The ‘resort’ (a stretch!) was very firm about three 4:00 check in even though rooms were ready. It was almost like a power trip! When we got into room there was sand all over the dining table, long hair all over the floor and a crumb filled kitchen counter. Basically they changed the sheets and put New towels out. Terrible. Do not stay here!! Beach is great but rooms and hallways are filthy!

Exchange customer get room 208 which is a corner. Small unite with no balcony. The resort pool and beach close at dusk. I don't drive so on those nights i wanted to just relax and enjoy the view I was forced to be in my room with nothing to do.

Will NEVER EVER go here again. Our room was disgusting, dirty and gross. The windows would not close so sounded like we were in a wind tunnel. Bathroom had stains and filth in the tub, could not use the sinks in either bathroom until maintenance came and got all of the gross hair from the drains We left after 1 day went down the road to a beautiful place. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The rooms have mold in the bathroom and on some of the Air Ducts, Dirty Linens left on sofa bed. In another room customer complaint about fish being left in their room. Can't get clean towels unless you bring them down to the laundry room for replacement of towels at certain times of the day. Their room service/cleaning service is a joke they don't change your sheets, or replacement or your towels, They clean up around your stuff, they don't make the beds. Microwave was dirty and not cleaned. This is a RCI location through the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. What a nightmare of place. It's not worth the price, points, and staying there, it's outdated and just freshly painted to cover up any mold and dirt. Fan blades are dusty, Location is a nice location but this resort isn't worth the price.

Although the rooms are small (studio) our room was very clean. The resort had lots of activities that our kids enjoyed. Everyone there was friendly.

We don't have a time-share & didn't stay there but we were visiting friends that are staying there as their guests this week. We live here & own a business locally. We were there several days out of this last week and I have to say we love the Islander! The planned activities for kids and adults is awesome. Everything is clean. Staff is friendly! I have to give specific shout outs to Kim, Nancy and Patti! They were nice, patient and friendly with all the kids. Always a pleasure to talk to them! Love the islander & amenities! One suggestion! It would be absolutely amazing if the Islander opened up day passes or season passes to the public or maybe just volusia residents to come enjoy the amenities! We would so purchase something like that. Of course we understand it wouldn't be allowed on holiday weekends but it would be a great extra revenue for the islander and more families could enjoy and you could count us in! It's a little hard juggling only how many guest passes that are allowed daily. So that's my only suggestion. We love it! Thanks for a fun week with friends!
