Wonderful condos with direct access to the beach and pool. Property is very clean and well taken care of. We rented condo 923, it had everything we needed for the beach including beach chairs and an umbrella and with a balcony directly facing the beach and it has the most beautiful view of the beach and an unbelievable sunset.
I wouldn't describe this place as super fancy, but it is very, very nice. We had a clean, comfortable condo on the tenth floor and the accommodations were down home great. There is a common area with a nice pool and a hot tub. Plenty of chairs and you can rent a cabana-style chair for the beach. The beach is combed by tractors and is a very nice beach. The beach is for approximately six to eight condos and runs about 1/2 mile long and is about 500 yards wide and semi-private. There are grills for cooking out while you stay which may defer the costs of going out, although local cuisine is excellent. Just Google restaurants. Easy drive to local attractions and if you need more of a city feel, head down to Bonita Springs about nine miles away. Dolphins can be seen near the bridges on the way to Bonita Springs. Great place to stay and would highly recommend.
Been coming here for 27 years, every time has been a fantastic experience. Units are nicely kept and the pool is to die for. Overlooks a large beach which is great for many activities.
$400/night gets you a well maintained, well stocked, and nicely updated condo with comfortable furniture and bedding. However, it’s not the level of comfort you would expect for the price. The AC cannot keep up and our check in instructions say “do not set below 72 or coil will freeze”. 2 things: when the thermostat reads 72, the main bedroom is 76 - not comfortable, especially to sleep in. Second, the necessity of setting at 72 to avoid damage would indicate that the coil/unit needs to be replaced or serviced. From what I can tell, it’s quite old and loud. There is a massive fan in the living room, so the heat is a known, unaddressed, and band-aided issue. Elevator works periodically, and in speaking with others, this is and has been an ongoing issue. Ironically, when we first arrived, an AC repairman was attempting to get to the 6th floor and the doors would not shut. Luckily, we were able to manually close them and off it went…after about 15 minutes of sweating in the lobby with all of our luggage and groceries. The toilets were gross…as in stains of “I’d rather not say” on the exterior of the bowl and both showers had hair inside; I get it that these are easily rectified issues but still gross. When we moved the ottoman/table so that we could use it, there were crumbs and trash under it. If you are going to operate a facility with known issues and shortcomings, then it should be priced accordingly. It really is a great condo that is updated, nice, spacious, and has great views, but some issues need to be addressed.
We have stayed at Island Winds for over 20 years and have always had an excellent experience. The accommodations and staff are top notch. My favorite unit is 1021. The view from there is outstanding and there are a lot of extras included. The pool area is recently updated and is great.
My family has been coming to Island Winds for over 25 years. We have rented in both buildings but for most of the times we rented from the owners of 1224 (formerly 701). The owners (along with the newer office staff (Michelle and Co.) have always been super responsive. However, the condo has always been meticulously maintained and the only times we have had glitches was when there was a storm and television/internet connections were cut. We have come during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays which has been awesome because the weather has been in the 80s and the south end of the beach is not filled with people. We have also been to the Island Winds in the spring, summer, and fall, but our favorite time is the holidays. Being at the south end of the beach is great because it is so easy to motor on down to Naples for exploring and food/shopping options. The redone pool is amazing and it is a great place to get a tan, relax, and watch the sunset. The owners, who do come down at different times during the year, have always been modernizing the condos and replacing anything that might be considered "slightly worn". Island Winds is located on the widest part of the sugar sand beach and the beach is wonderful. You can go either left or right and you have miles of beach to walk. You are also located within two blocks of a fun beach bar and four blocks from great restaurants and shopping. Besides 1224, we would also recommend 702 and 804 (6612).
Love Island Winds. Great pricing for fully furnished Gulf front condos with an amazing white sand beach plus beautiful pool and hot tub. It's walking distance to restaurants, shopping, jet ski dolphin tours, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding among many other beach activities. Great staff. Everything you need for a great vacation!
Island Winds has a million dollar view of the Gulf of Mexico. The condos are large two bedroom, two bath units. There is a workout room. The pool and hot tub are awesome. They are at the widest part of the beach on the Island and near the south end where it is quieter yet close enough to access the busier, touristy north end of the island. You can catch a bus to the north end, ride a bike or just walk. You can walk out to the beach to access rental of stand up paddle boards, cabanas, jet skis, etc... Watching sunset each night is a must. I highly recommend this condominium complex.

I absolutely loved this place! Direct ocean views from the living room and bedroom, but with all of the comforts of home. It was peaceful unless you don't like the sound of birds outside the balcony (it was wonderful to me) and so beautiful. There w
I never should have moved any of my clothes down from Wisconsin. I live in their clothes! They are age appropriate, and very stylish. I am also short and curvy and everything fits so well.
Captain Neil brought my friend and I out for quite an adventure. I honestly donât have much experience fishing and Neil taught me a bunch. He kept me focused and on point so I can catch most of the fish that bit my line. Neil is not only an expert
