We had an absolutely amazing experience at Island View! Once you get up the elevator it's very classy and the manager, Chris, was very kind and accommodating even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server Kris was also very attentive and warm. It was my birthday and the restaurant provided me with a free small champagne bottle and a free desert! The live singer also sang me happy birthday. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. We ordered a salad and our entrees came with salads and soups, and we also were provided with delicious warm bread with cheese stuffed in it. Vodka pasta was a 10/10! Everyone was so nice and checked in on us several times. Beautiful views and not too loud or dark in the restaurant. I will definitely be going back 👏🏻

This restaurant is located on the 6th floor of the Lani Kai Resort. We were in the outdoor section by the bar. Parking is not free. The parking attendant, an older bald, heavy set man, is pretty gruff and does not appear to like his job. He was yelling at people constantly. He even yelled at our Lyft driver for wanting to drop us off closer to the elevator as I have a disability. We took a Lyft over here. In order to get to the restaurant part, you need to go up an old elevator that holds 6 people, go through a loud, rowdy bar and then you get to the outdoor seating. Even though we called early in the morning to reserve the swinging table next to the view, and were promised it, they said they did not receive our reservation and it was made for another indoor restaurant up there! So then we had to speak to the manager, 2 servers and finally after waiting for other diners to leave, we were able to get the table we requested in the morning. We ordered Crab Cakes, which tasted mediocre and Clam Strips with fries. Nothing special. Our main reason for going there was to catch the Sunset, which they advertise. And we did get to see it. Just don't expect much and you will be happy if you get the view tables. The entire place needs remodeling badly. No one was wearing a mask that we could see..neither staff nor customers.

Our favorite restaurant! Sean the manager was amazing and made sure we were happy every time we went! The meatballs were authentic and the best! We had them three nights in a row. Great view and also great servers. Totally recommend! Also the music was very relaxing and the live lounge singer was very good.

Great restaurant with an awesome sun set view right on the gulf. We ate inside for a more formal experience and really enjoyed our meals. We had oysters, clam chowder, pasta and shrimp, grouper Oscar, and seared scallopsps with asparagus and cauliflower puree. To full to move we decided we couldn't leave without trying a few of their desserts. Great experience, we will be back.

First time visiting yesterday & I really enjoyed the clam chowder & cream cheese dinner rolls! The chowder was absolutely amazing! My steak & jumbo shrimp we're also very good & steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I have knocked off a star for this restaurant being labeled as "fine dining" as they let anyone that comes knocking in no matter what their wearing. I felt so over dressed, everyone was wearing casual beach type clothing, cut off t shirts & jean shorts, it put me off a bit. Also, the rice wasn't so great, tasted very plain. Not many sides to choose from. We called & reserved a booth next to the windows to watch the sunset, very beautiful & they even dim the lights right as it's setting so it gave off a romantic feel. (YES you CAN watch the sunset unlike one reviewer said, you want fine dining but if you didn't make a reservation you won't get a ocean view, obviously that's how fine dining works) Inside resembles what a fine dining restaurant should look like (besides the customers). It was pretty pricey but we got a deal during happy hour. Overal I would probably come back again next vacation.

It's a bit tricky getting to the restaurant. When we arrived the outdoor glass elevator was being maintained. We used the indoor elevator and went to the top floor. I believe it was called the sundeck. You walk to the sun deck bar-restaurant then turn left. Walk through the doors and you'll arrive at the island view restaurant. We had an Awesome meal & attentive staff. Our waitress was Janesa who did a fabulous job. We listened to her suggestions then ordered a few of the items that she talked about. The dinner rolls came out warm stuffed with cream cheese. This was an unexpected treat! For appetizers we ordered the meatballs and the eggplant. The sauce is amazing. Entrees drunkin chicken picture attached with heaping portion. My husband got the smoked salmon pasta with a wine sauce. Again, this was very tasty. We had a couple rounds of drinks. There was live singer dinner music playing. Initially when we arrived it was a little loud and they turned it down. The manager Sean checked in with us several times to see how our food was. The food came to our table hot. Overall, it was a great experience and we plan to go back Friday night.

Amazing views in air conditioned area. We sat at the bar so we could see the gulf and it was great. Top notch staff and the musician was playing chill island vibe music. We had the octopus.

Amazing place , second large group meal handled by their staff perfectly. The bride and groom tended to appropriately. Should be 6 stars. SEAN SHORE Mai`tred , AVA AND Bethany were beyond professional. A classy decor and soothing music of crooners setting an amazing mood, set by Sean Reid. If a beach fine dining is your jam this one is it!!
