We must have stopped at Irish Kevin's 5-6 times during our stay in Key West, both for day and evening drinks as well as bites to eat. During the daytime, we always had a table and all of the servers we had were all welcoming and attentive. It gets really packed at night, and you typically have to order drinks at the bar.
They have live music throughout the entire day, so it's always a fun and lively atmosphere.
Though there was one particular, obnoxious musician (see photo). He obviously thought he was funny but really came off as grating, particularly when making borderline racist/homophobic comments.
The atmosphere in this bar felt like home! My husband and I are from Boston and we got lost in here, with the friendly staff, live music and rowdy crowd! The owner was up playing the night we went and he had a beer drinking competition! My husband won, so maybe that’s why we loved the place so much!!
We had such an amazing time here. This is a must stop spot. The entertainment was awesome, the drinks were fantastic, and the other patrons were so much fun. The bartenders and gift shop cashier were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we had a terrible waitress. After my friend took too much time to figure out which drink she wanted, she rudely and sarcastically showed her the menu we were looking at by folding, unfolding, and flipping it front to back to show it to us . I understand it's a busy bar, but that was uncalled for. Fortunately, that was the only negative.
Irish Kevin’s is my fave bar in the entire US. Been to Key West 8 times now and every time I go I make a beeline for this bar. (I’ll stay all day if you let me…sigh…my friends drag me out) The atmosphere is so much fun with great musicians and everyone always sings and jokes around. It can be tough to get a drink when it’s busy so you really have to squeeze in to belly up. The t shirt shop is awesome. I have a collection of shirts now. They have a live stream and sometimes when I’m missing the keys I just put it on the background at work and get happy! I would post my videos but they are a bit racy as the performer comedy/lyrics are very adult oriented.
Fun stop in Key West. Bartenders friendly and helpful. Music was overbearing. Had the corned beef Rueben. Corned beef was excellent but the sandwich was a little messy with a lot of sauce. I would order again light on the sauce.
Truly a great Irish Kevin’s experience and the food… wow was the food amazing ! The burgers the wings were excellent and we were just getting started! Best place to enjoy live music and have some key west drinks!
Fantastic place with live music. Everyone up singing and dancing. Would definitely return.
Must stop place in Key West (unless you are from NJ - lol). They have awesome live entertainment most of the day. The staff is quick with drinks. This place is a staple of Duval and a place that people will ask if you ever visited. Don’t leave without checking it out.
