I really do hate to leave a bad review, but it’s only for the betterment of the hotel. My friends and I had checked into a room, everything was going fine and then we walked over to our lamp to see a roach😬 We called the front desk to ask if they could remove it and the front desk lady told us “I don’t do bugs.” Working at a hotel myself, I just don’t see as to how this is how you would handle the situation. I recently had to deal with bugs in a room myself, it’s uncomfortable I totally get it but your guests shouldn’t have to be the ones dispose of the bug and receive a rude response when politely asking for the situation to be handled. I do hope maybe the staff can work a little more on their customer service and seize the pest problem. It’s a great location and has great amenities, much potential!🙂

So I found this place via our airline and chose it due to the proximity of the airport. I had a 2 night stay here on two different days. One as I arrived and four days later. I have to say the outside looks a lot better than the rooms. The first thing that caught my eye is that the welcome mat said "discover luxury" can't say that I did. First the shower heads have not been cleaned in a long time in both rooms that i stayed in. They had a lot of lime and calcium build up on them. The showers had very low pressure. By the looks of it housekeeping does the bare minimum to get the rooms cleaned. The shower curtains are not maintained one of the corners were stained. Toilet seats need more attention. Also, this is the first hotel that did not have a curtain to cover the window. They had a shade that did not fully block out light. Overall this hotel has a lot of potential to be "luxury" hotel if management would step it up.

Pros: Location is not to far from downtown Historic Savannah.. Pet friendly Cons: The area looks a bit sketchy. As you enter the hotel, it reeks of mildew/ wet dog. The rooms are not the cleanest. The customer service is awful and please don’t book through a 3rd party service. They offer little to no help and there are absolutely NO REFUNDS. Lastly, there’s noise outside the doors in the wee hours of the night. It’s 1:30 am and I’m ready to check out.. This is the GHETTO!! Feedback: This hotel could benefit from new management. Hire personnel with people/ social skills. The guy staff member was very helpful. However, the woman need to find a smile, and a better attitude. I wasn’t able to meet the manager listed on the wall as being on duty. Perhaps he or she could be in their assigned place of duty and not at home or away from work. Hire an actual cleaning crew that remembers to clean all areas of the room and remove dirty towels from the rooms. Lounge with tv and tables is a convenient place to eat and socialize and the gym is large enough for 3-4 people to workout. NOT KID FRIENDLY. Put some cheap board/ card games in the lounge area for the kids to play with and a bean bag toss outside somewhere. Lastly, Don’t be so money hungry, if the facility isn’t able to meet customer’s expectations upon arrival please refund them their money. There is no reason people should be forced to stay where they don’t feel safe or comfortable. It’s already bad enough the photos on the website are misleading. Some of us are traveling far and want to get a good peaceful night of rest and can not afford to lose money.

do not say at this hotel||horrible place recently stayed for four nights . stayed in a room on the ground floor and and on the final night of the stay trying to sleep around 10 pm and loud thuds were coming from the floor above so called the front desk to report that noise was coming directly from the room above and the agent responded she did not know what room was above our room (dumb as f) unbelievable noise contd till 11 pm so went to front desk and told the woman at the desk about it and she started yelling and stating that it wasn't her problem and she wasn't going to go upstairs and was told for me to go upstairs and find out (unbelievable) told her she was responsible for fixing the issue and it turned out into a shouting match and the agent called the police on us. this is what you can expect from this hotel. icing on the cake windows have no curtains only a cheap $5 blind that does no cover the window and people from outside can see in the room. breakfast is a joke juice machine has nothing but water in every fountain coffee is so watered down it doesn't taste like coffee. this is a scam and the owner & management should be ashamed of themselves but they don't care so stay at your own risk

I am SHOCKED by the reviews of this place. Glad I didn’t listen to them. This was a GREAT stay. We stayed 3 nights and had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly enough, not overly talkative. Every thing was very clean and tidy, with housekeeping daily making the bed and bringing fresh towels. The breakfast was typical continental, but great. Nice mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room. The bathroom was nice and clean as well. Great location about 8 minutes from everything in downtown Savannah and about 25 minutes from Tybee.

This was a horrible hotel experience for two reasons: cleanliness/upkeep and sense of security/safety. Even when we pulled into the hotel parking lot, it was clear this was a questionable area. Random men were loitering on benches or just sitting out in the parking lot, watching us come in and out. The back door to the hotel's kitchen/dining area had a crowbar jammed through the door handles to keep it locked closed. We looked for somewhere to grab food nearby and saw reviews complaining about local restaurants having protections in place to prevent theft and crime: apparently a major concern in this area. Our room's outermost door had a kickstand: its rubber top popped off the moment we walked in. When I used the shower, the shower's handle went loose and wouldn't hold position; white clumps and crumbs started falling out of it while I was handling it. Disgusting, obviously, and worse to find it was tissue paper holding the whole thing together. And the drainage was nonexistent: water up to my ankles by the time I bailed. I genuinely can't remember a single positive moment of this experience. There was a little green space to walk our dog, which was nice, but again, the numerous men outside watching us meant we couldn't take real advantage of the space. The one staff person we saw was nice, though continually retreating to a closed room. The breakfast was fine. People came and went quickly. It felt like everyone was in a rush to leave and I don't blame them.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING - FALSE ADVERTISING||I booked this for two nights as a getaway for my husband and I. This hotel has 3 stars but that is far from what we experienced. Hotels.com rates this as 8.2/10 and reviews seemed good so that is why we booked here. This hotel is far from “luxury.”||Poor customer service, poor cleanliness, bad location, and awful smell. ||We got in, we were immediately disappointed. We decided to look at the room and go from there, upon entering it spelled of marijuana. We went down and requested a different room. The next room they offered wreaked of cigarettes. This is a non smoking hotel..” We decided we couldn’t stay here and requested a refund for our stay. We were told they couldn’t refund our first night because it was past the cancellation window. They said, “we can’t help what the guests do.” We left and found somewhere else to stay. It is clear the employees and management do not care about your experience. My husband called this place a “polished turd.” ||I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! ||0/10 - save your money!!

Trust the reviews! You pay for what you get, I guess. Lesson learned. I booked my stay directly from their website and received a confirmation email stating check in was 9. This was apparently not the case because when we arrived at 9, we were turned away and told to come back at 3- no exceptions. I showed the receptionist the confirmation email coming directly from Iris Garden Inn and she shrugged it off. Not to mention her rude attitude and demeanor made me want to find a different hotel entirely. When we finally got into our room several hours after we arrived, it was noticeably dirty. The floors and counters were dusty with pet hair all over. Despite requesting our room to be cleaned two separate times, it never was. Our stay was for SIX days and our room was never cleaned (bed never remade, dirty towels never collected, trash not taken out... gross). We had to take clean towels from the employees working in the laundry room. There was also random, loud noises at all hours of the night? Almost like machinery was being worked on at 3 in the morning. Not sure what was going on, but it kept us up. Overall, would not recommend.

What a gem. This is a total find. The apartment is very large and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. We were two friends, so I used the sofa bed as an extra room. It worked very well - it’s big and comfortable and, if you ask, they’
