Irie Jerk Hut #1 - Jamaican restaurant in Burnham - 2304 State St, USA

I ordered through Door Dash. I had the ox tails, beans n rice, cabbage, and Mac n cheese. When I received my meal, it was still hot! The food was delicious!!! Meat tender and seasoned well! The amount of food is for two servings for me. I really enjoyed this meal!! Only thing: I needed a piece of cornbread! 🤣 I will be ordering again from this restaurant and recommending to others. Keep up the good work!

The food is good. But I paid like 30$ for oxtail meal. You only get 3 and 1 of them was the size of my thumb. There was no gravy at all. None. Bone dry. I understand paying extra for extra gravy but gravy should come on it. I drove over hour to get my food just to be ripped off. Although their food is good, idk if I'll order from them again. That pissed me off. Pics show size and No Gravy given.

The attitudes are horrible.. The hanging up the phone while playing a order, the coldness while waiting for our food we paid full price for but can’t get a little heat in the restaurant while sitting wit the owner as she acting like it’s not cold in there. The food is great but customer service is poor. We have to do better where we choose to spend our money at

Really good fresh food. I’ve had their individual orders and catered portions and the quality was excellent both times. I had the catfish, brown stew chicken, and jerk chicken. I aways ask for ox tail gravy on everything and they didn't charge extra like some places. My whole family loved it, we will be back for sure.

This is nasty taco NASTY Mac & cheese taste nasty then you can’t get a different side with your taco only fries and gotta pay full price even if you don’t want fries. Cashier was looking at purses online and had a bonnet on!

I agree with Tim Jones review 100% as well as the countless other reviews referencing bad customer service. Their service and attitudes here downright SUCK and I'm not sure why they think it's okay, seeing as though there are at least 2 other jerk spots less than 5 min away and COUNTLESS others in the city. It's a shame that several people in the reviews are speaking about nasty attitudes here and yet there's no improvement. I also agree with another review that mentions the amount of jerk sauce they give compared to the amount of chicken a customer orders. It's LAUGHABLE the amount of jerk sauce they give you, even when you order a whole dang chicken and all of it speaks to the lack of value they have in the community who patronizes them. Definitely won't be back. Lackluster food and terrible customer service.

So today I go the this black own restaurant in Burnham and placed a order for the lunch special. The problem comes in when I go to pay for my food. I present the girl with 2 dollar bills to which she states oh we can not accept those. My problem is isn't $2 bills U.S. Currencies. 🙄 I then ask for the manager information 🙄 only to be told we can take your information but we can't give her information. This is one of the reasons black own businesses are failing. Customer service is poor.

I've been here twice. First time it was delicious. Today it didn't even look the same Chicken was dry, sweet potatoes we're not done, macaroni cheese is also dry. Not happy today with my food 😐
