Been coming here for over 15 years maybe more. It’s my local gym. Id like to say going steady for that time but that is not the case. 2 massive floors of equipment, gets cleaned daily, you’re never waiting to use a piece of equipment. They just updated a ton of machines. Staff is friendly and you can always catch one of the experienced trainers if you have any questions. Parking is never an issue the times i go. And to end the workout they have a great juice bar for protein shakes and quick bites to eat. From beginner to professional body builder you’ll get all types. Its a great gym for anyone looking to stay in or get into shape.

Good luck canceling when you need to!! I suggest you ask about that before signing any paper and get ready to jump through hoops before they let you cancel! You can't do it at the gym, then they give you a phone number, but you can't do it over the phone! Then they ask you to do it online, but you must register for an account first and provide a good enough reason for cancelation! Then they charge you a fee to cancel even if you are on a month to month, no contract! I honestly dunno why would anyone choose this over any larger, cheaper gym, like LA Fitness for example. The machines are fewer, many dont work. The lower floor is usually not clean nor organized. It always smells bad and the staff isn't any better, no small local gym vibes there, neither a large professional corporate one either. I would never go back!

I came to SI to visit from NE. I’m an avid gym goer and a powerlifter so I need a gym with great free weight equipment, specialty bars, squat racks, and benches. This gym has it all! The atmosphere is extremely anabolic! The people within are absolutely friendly, ranging from the staff to the members who go on a consistent basis! I felt like I was truly apart of a family coming here on a week pass. If I lived in NY, this would 100% be my gym of choice!

Intoxx Fitness in Oakwood has been my home gym for the past 16 years and every time you think it hit a plateau, Mike comes in and revamps the place. I moved to NJ a couple of years ago and will not let go of my membership here even if I do visit 3-4 times a month. The staff and members are friendly and welcoming and I’ve made some good friends from this gym

Great gym, very clean, friendly staff. Equipment & gym seem to always be updated & improved. There are definitely a good variety of machines & they are nicely spread out over 2 floors. I have no complaints about Intoxx, I would definitely recommend it!

Best gym on Staten Island, I wish they would open one up in jersey so i have somewhere to go when i go away to school

Can’t say enough about this gym. I’ve been working out at Intoxx for close to 20 years and Mike and the staff are always looking for ways to make it better. It’s a huge space loaded with equipment for any type of training you’re looking to do. I feel like whenever I see a new piece of equipment online, the gym will have it shortly after. I can’t recommend this gym enough. Intoxx has a great staff and build a great community in there where everyone knows each other and feels comfortable.
