I had a great time and experience forming part of the baking & pastry department at IOT. Our Chef instructors were amazing and very helpful. Chef Kevin, Edith, Hannah, Anna & Jim took their positions very seriously and prepared us for the kitchens out in the real world. Some may have thought that their way of teaching was strict, but I think they did a great job teaching. In the kitchens, life is hectic but we have to make the best of any situation, and that is what they all prepared us for. My instructors were of positive impact in my life as a baker, and now known baking & pastry chef. Also, Heather from Career Services is of great help when it comes to looking for a job position. I have a list of job openings thanks to her, and it’s now up to myself to see what best fits my schedule/goals.

Amazing experience, a lot of hands on training. Instructors took their time to explain the processes. I always felt I could ask for more help. Especially Grateful to Chef Edith, Chef Kevin, Chef Anabel and Chef Jim. Overall Great and Challenging opportunity.

I really loved my experience with IOT! Classes ranged in difficulty as you progressed, but even the most difficult classes were worth it and rewarding. The small class sizes ensured you got one-on-one time with each Chef, and I feel like I was given a well-rounded culinary education.

I had a blast here, After covid had forced me to retire from my previous style of work. I place myself in the Culinary Arts program for Patisserie and Baking.... It was a first for me since I haven't been A student of anything since high school And it was in the total opposite direction of my line of work that i'm used to. I met Chef Edith After watching the class before me outside of a window.... I didn't want to feel like a creeper. So I came in and Introduce myself🤣 She's awesome and Made the class fun. After getting out of modular, 101 taught by Chef, Kevin Is who is total riot. That's finally able to join Chef Edith's class. As I Successfully progressed through the modulars.I was introduced to Chef Hannah. I love the pro tips That she always gives and also. Push the class along the way. The most Difficult skill that I had to learn fron both chefs is time management during production. This was the hardest thing to master. Being able to multi-task, watch the clock and bake your buns off all at the same time is a unique skill. And it is now embedded in me. I was successful in passing the class and graduating. I want to thank everyone who I met along the way and anyone that had their hand in my success while attending your curriculum. Thank you very much🙏🏾💯

I never thought I would actually like going to school but the baking and pastry program is so much fun! My chefs both Chef Edith and Chef Hannah have done an amazing job so far to make it a fun learning experience. They have taught me so much and are very great when it comes to one on one teaching! They take there time to make sure you are on the same page and have always been helpful with tips and tricks. I love my chefs and I'm really glad to have gotten the opportunity to learn from them!!! ❤️

I get my hair done at the salon regularly and I love it every time! The salon is beautiful and always clean. The students do a great job of talking through my haircut/color with me before they start which helps me feel comfortable in the chair! Mrs. R is amazing!

I really enjoyed my experience here! I came in wanting to change my hair style. Mrs.Kue made me feel supported and was patient with me. The others who worked there were very helpful as well. They also gave me some tips on how to manage my hair after. I was very satisfied with the results and would definitely come again!

Throughout my experience at the Institute of Technology, from first registering, to starting classes, to graduating and getting a job (which I absolutely love) the staff at IOT was always very helpful and encouraging. My teacher, Ms. Hernandez, really helped me figure out what career path I wanted to take as well as helped me build my confidence in learning. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone looking for a career change. It was an amazing experience for me and I am beyond greatful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great institution!
