My husband & I celebrated our 40th anniversary in Buffalo, my hometown, and wanted to spend our first week at someplace special. I had always heard about InnBuffalo and it did not disappoint. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. Beds are extremely comfortable. Filtered water was always available in the room, along with coffee. The breakfasts are delicious; yogurt, homemade granola, fruit etc etc. The innkeeper and his staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as special and comfortable as we had hoped. I loved the 24/7 amenities; the Nespresso, adult beverages, soft drinks, teas, snacks etc were a welcome treat throughout our stay. We made sure to take advantage of every experience; the beautiful, serene garden, lovely front porch, game room downstairs etc. It's a very safe, walkable area to lots of terrific restaurants and shops. We even walked to the art gallery and Delaware Park Lake where we could sit and have lunch at the Terrace Cafe. InnBuffalo is a must for an exceptional experience in the Buffalo area. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at InnBuffalo and were highly pleased. It was our first visit to Buffalo, which we hugely enjoyed, and the inn is in a quiet residential neighborhood but still within walking distance to some attractions such as the marvelous AKG Art Museum. We prefer small hotels and inns with character so it was perfect for us. The entire house beautifully reflects its history and there's a lovely garden out back, as well as limited parking that you can reserve. There is street parking nearby but we felt that it was worth the small fee to park on the property. All of the inn's policies are very clearly stated on the website so there will be no surprises. We were very happy with the breakfasts, the quality of the coffee and especially the luscious homemade scones, served hot from the oven. You can take breakfast in different cozy areas downstairs or carry it up to your room.||We stayed in the Art Nouveau West room on the top floor. The room is attractive, spacious and comfortable with a very nice bathroom. It's right next to Art Nouveau East and there's a door between them, which is convenient if you're traveling with another couple. I would recommend only booking these rooms together if you need 2 rooms since you can clearly hear the guests in the other room (as I imagine they could hear us, although we generally speak softly and don't stay out late). We still don't regret staying here, though we would probably choose a different room next time. The inn is generally very quiet.||We mainly communicated with the hosts via text and they were very responsive and helpful.

InnBuffalo is an absolute gem. It proved to be a comfortable home away from home so that we could visit nearby relatives. It is entirely convenient to all area destinations. An 1898 mansion in process of preservation, it is exquisite, charming, and filled with timely treasures, all beautifully kept. All in and outdoor seating areas are just lovely. The hosts thought of every process and amenity to ease check in and lodging comfort. The final bill is the room fee with no hidden or additional fees - just state tax. Our hosts checked in about any daily needs via text. The continental breakfast offering is delicious, and they provided drinks and snacks for our car ride home. We would absolutely return for future stays, and look forward to doing so! We give this our highest recommendation.

We just checked out of InnBuffalo and it is one of the best travel experiences we have had. Joe does everything possible to make his guests feel like it is their own home - breakfast, 24-hour coffee, afternoon tea, sodas, and snacks, and wonderful places to sit and just relax. Every room is beautiful from the front porch to the sitting rooms to the individual suites which have everything needed for a perfect stay! It is quiet and gracious with wonderful beds, pillows, and amenities. We will definitely be back and feel that we have found a home away from home! Thank you, Joe!

My family and I stayed here for the fourth of July week. This is by far the most beautiful inn I have ever stayed in. The history is so rich and the architecture is so beautiful. Joe, the owner, is such a warm host and so generous, he makes you feel right at home the moment you walk thru the door. The rooms are generously sized and very nicely appointed. And the daily prepared breakfast and “open kitchen” really makes life much easier especially with young children. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Joe!

I read the reviews before booking and I feel like we stayed at a different place than any of the people who reviewed. We chose this because it’s near our daughter’s new place. None of us are familiar with Buffalo. We wanted something close by during her move in.||We booked a room and arrived to an envelope with our name and a key and instructions. We went in, put our things down and did not see anyone despite refusing a text asking what time we planned on arriving. We sat on the porch for a bit before we went to dinner and then We came in later that night after dinner, no inn Keeper or staff around then either. Sodas on ice and water as well as some sad fruit and leftover scones presumably from the breakfast they offer.||We woke up in the am and on our way out someone was in the kitchen and said hello to my husband. The total for the stay, with taxes, was $268. There were small scones and small yogurt parfaits for self service breakfast with coffee along with the same sad tray of clementines a few apples and two bananas😂||As for the room, Our bathroom was three doors down from our room. It had a lock code for us to get in and out. We had to leave our room and walk in the hallway to use the bathroom. There was no AC in the bathroom and the older tub and curtain setup was such that the minute you turned the water on, the shower liner sucked in on you. All I could think of was how many people had showered in there and those liners aren’t regularly changed.||It honestly felt like someone said we could stay at their aunt’s house but that she wouldn’t be around except we had to pay $268 to stay. Most airbnbs at least make you breakfast or have wine and cheese late afternoon. It almost felt as though this was how they survived during Covid and just kept it rolling.||The neighborhood is great and the on street parking was easy enough. They charge you $15 to park in their driveway. Not sure why that wouldn’t be included for over $250. We didn’t have much luggage for one night and parked a few houses down. This would be tough for some folks..||The bed was comfortable, sheets were scratchy and again, only my husband laid eyes on someone working there for about 5 minutes. Just wanted to share after having such a very different experience from all the reviews I read before booking. We’ve stayed at b&bs before and older ones like this that can seem a little spooky. I think ghosts might actually run this one. There were signs but we didn’t see anyone. It felt like an Airbnb. Make sure you check to see if your room has a bathroom!

We loved our stay at InnBuffalo and couldn't recommend it more highly! We stayed in the Trunk Suite and while it's one of the smaller rooms, we had plenty of space and it was beautifully appointed. We ended up having to book an extra night due to a flight cancelation and InnBuffalo kindly offered us an upgraded room, which was beautiful and much appreciated! The innkeeper, Joseph, is so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with him and he gave us a wonderful recommendation for a neighborhood walk! The location is perfect and easy to walk to the main street of Elmwood and explore the nearby parkways/park. The amenities at the inn, from breakfast to snacks and drinks, are unparalleled. Don't miss checking out the Billiards room!

The house is located in a section of Buffalo with large, older well-maintained homes. It is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Our room for 3 nights was the Grover Cleveland, which was roomy and light-filled. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower also good. There were 2 luggage racks rather than the usual single, which I wish more hotels would provide. Breakfast was perfect for us — homemade yogurt (with granola and berries) and scones. You can easily park on the street.
