Just be aware that there are no non-smoking rooms really. If someone smokes in the courtyard, your room is going to smell like a pool hall for a good long while. Makes it very hard to sleep. Too bad, otherwise the room was pretty nice, same for location

Great location right around the corner from Bourbon Street, while it's quiet. An old authentic house and courtyard. Clean room, bed linen, towels. we stayed for two nights, the room was cleaned and towels were changed. The room was in the courtyard on the 2nd floor, with very steep stairs to climb, especially with luggage. A very small room, somewhat reminiscent of a ship's cabin, is very cramped for two adults. The room is of course old and in need of renovation. The bathroom is made of some kind of stone. The floors are very cold. Very cold walls in the shower can't be leaned against. the shower is very cramped. There was no hot water in the faucet. The bed is not comfortable, the pillows are not comfortable. The only thing is if you sleep drunk after going to bars, then of course you don't notice all this.

Our room reeked of cigarette smoke so badly I couldn’t sleep. When I complained to the person at the front desk he immediately had an attitude and told me “you’re probably smelling people smoking in the courtyard.” Completely unhelpful and rude. The bed was hard as a rock and my back hurt so much I had to buy lidocaine patches just to sleep. Our neighbor complained about back pain from the bed as well. The location is the only good thing about this spot.

Old New Orleans charm. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic staff and very walkable to some great attractions!

I stayed here for my birthday January 2023. My room was very nice and clean. All the amenities were working (lights, heat, hot water). The staffs customer service was superior. The best customer service experience I ever had during a hotel stay. I felt very welcomed, the hospitality was wonderful and the staffs were consistently asking if there was anything they can assist me with. My stay was peaceful and quiet. It was a pleasure staying in such a historical hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant experience. To the one’s complaining, this building was built in the 1700’s. So don’t expect perfection. Be mindful, not ignorant. Thank you so much to each and one of your staffs. You’re amazing !

My husband booked a room here for a great rate. We were offered private parking, which was very nice and inexpensive. Just several blocks away from Bourbon St, a 24-hour grocery on the corner as well. Made for an easy walk to the night life. We had a double queen room. Clean all the way around. Loved the shower. Courtyard was also very nice to sit and chat at. The history of this Inn is very interesting as well. Paul was very kind and informative about what to do and where to go to. Thanks for taking care of us! ✨️

Very typical French Quarter Inn. Basic, no frills, reliable accommodations. Small courtyard, great location, and coffee on site.

My son and I stayed at the Inn on Ursulines for two nights in June of 2013. There was much more bad to the experience than there was good; in fact, the only reason that I'm leaving two 'thumbs-up' or 'stars' or whatever arbitrary rating symbol rather than none is because of the helpfulness and friendliness of the two desk clerks that we interacted with. Those two gentlemen were the sole bright spot in our stay at the Inn on Ursulines.||||Let's discuss the parking situation: there isn't any on-site parking. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. There wasn't even any on-street parking available so that we could run inside to ask about parking, so I had to double park on the narrow French Quarter street and dash inside while my son guarded our car. As we found out, OFF-site parking is available to the tune of $33.00 per day and is located in an unsecured lot (there IS a gate with an entry keypad; the gate was locked in the 'fully open' position and the keypad was as dead as the dodo) about 1/4 mile away. I'm in pretty good shape for an old man, and my kid is a big stout moose of a lad, but when we got back to the hotel after schlepping a 1/4 mile while carrying about 90lbs each in the full staggering Louisiana heat and humidity, we were both exhausted and drenched in sweat. If it were anywhere other than New Orleans, the hike would be through what's generally consider a pretty sketchy area. Does the website mention the lack of parking? Sure, if you can find the link to the FAQs where the parking situation, or lack thereof, is mentioned. It's not something predominantly mentioned on their front page, for obvious reasons. Caveat emptor, I guess.||||The hotel itself, the actual physical structure, is...sad. There is a system of thought that brands everything old as historic, quaint, charming, and beautifully drenched in nostalgia; but sometimes old is just old. Beat up, dilapidated, crumbling, decaying, dirty. The Inn on Ursulines is a relic that lacks any straight lines or level surfaces. Throughout it's history it's almost certainly been restored and refurbished dozens of times, but not very well. The narrow, rickity stairs and uneven walkways are an unpleasant navigational adventure. ||||The floors are old hardwood with so many swells, sways, and buckles you'll feel like you're walking on the deck of a ship in a storm. There's a step-up to the bathroom that's a couple of inches high and it is absolutely going to snag your toe at some point, making you dance around clutching your tootsies in pain and yelling words that would make your Grandma blush. The dinky 'lil wall-mounted A/C unit does nothing to beat back the relentless heat during the day unless you're in the bed directly under it (the kid won that coin toss). At night the ceiling fan and the toy A/C unit together make it comfy enough to sleep, so that's a plus I suppose. The tiny room, while not being actively filthy, was dirtier than you expect a hotel room to be. The pits in the floor were full of grime, dust bunnies, and old sequins(!), and the place just looked dingy. Bathroom was clean, but noticeably hotter than the room itself. Bedding was clean and comfy, as were towels.||||If this was an inexpensive roadside motel, I wouldn't have been quite as shocked by it's condition; but it's not. The Inn on Ursulines wasn't as expensive as some other places in the famed French Quarter, but it was far from cheap. Could I imagine a scenario where I'd ever stay there again? Probably not.
