Inn On the Hill - Bed & breakfast in Salt Lake City - 225 State St, USA

We have stayed at several hotels in SLC. Inn on the Hill surpasses the others with excellent location, just 5-10min walk to Temple Square, 2 min walk to the Capitol, and about 15min to restaurants, theatres and bars in Downtown, and great service. Super safe neighborhood. Great breakfast. And really lovely, welcoming staff. Some rooms are smaller, make sure you look at pictures to see what you get. Common areas are very nice, with historical details, comfortable, classy setting.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The history of the inn is very interesting. The room is nice and cozy with the jetted tubs. Location is amazing right by the Capitol and very quiet. We stayed here for the second time and we love it. This time, though, they had less snacks but still loved the breakfast and the room we stayed at.

We loved everything about this inn. We stayed in the Bryce Room and really enjoyed the mostly private patio with a view over the downtown and the mountains. It was so relaxing to sit out there after a long flight from the east coast, and the view was beautiful by day and night. The room also has a wall full of windows with lovely tree views. The king bed was super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. It's in a beautiful neighborhood and you can easily walk downtown. The inn itself is gorgeous - I love an historical property. It reminded me of Craftsman/Arts and Crafts style, but a bit grander - they call it Second Renaissance Revival. In any event, it's beautifully maintained and not at all frou-frou. Everyone was kind and accommodating - I especially appreciated being able to check in early from our morning flight, though I'm sure that might not always be possible. Breakfast was fantastic! You are given a wide choice of breakfast menus and times to sign up for when you check in, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We had an opportunity to peek into a bunch of the other rooms in the morning and they were all beautiful! There are also a variety of outdoor terraces and spaces even if your room doesn't connect to a private one. Really, just one of the nicest inns!

This house was beautiful. The room was very nice, comfortable bed, breakfast was good. The grounds around the house were also lovely. It was fun staying at the top of the hill, though the walk back up (our choice) was a challenge on my weak legs. I would definitely stay here again.

Inn On the Hill is in a spectacular early 1900s mansion. One of the rooms is still intact from that era. It is a very convenient location to downtown with many shops and restaurants and walking distance. The rooms were lovely and they included a really nice fresh breakfast. They also had complementary drinks and snacks. Our room had a big jetted tub. This is worth the stay.

We spent a fabulous night in the Inn on the Hill for my birthday. The Inn itself is a a wonder of architecture and furnishings that evoke another time, filling the imagination and providing a peaceful and romantic experience. We stayed in the Saltair room with a great view down State Street and a giant four poster bed. The breakfast was amazing. We ordered French toast which was surprisingly served with eggs, bacon and fruit as well. ||The bed is super comfy, the hotel is quiet at night, and the staff is very personable. One caution would be that if you have limited mobility, it will be difficult to get into the room and also difficult to get in and out of the beautiful marble tub/shower combos. But if that isn't a problem, this is a super romantic and lovely place to stay.

What a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, the staff gracious, the bed comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the entire house spectacular! ||I would highly recommend staying at the Inn on The Hill - it was an experience, not just a night in a hotel…..

We had a relaxing and very enjoyable two night stay here with family. Great location with easy and pleasant walk to major tourist sights and private parking. Charming interior with pool table room and sitting areas. Very helpful and friendly staff. Outdoor areas to relax too. Good range of items for breakfast with a good choice of carefully prepared dishes.
