Inn on St Ann - Guest house in New Orleans - 1013 St Ann St., USA

Several recent negative reviews had me apprehensive about my stay which was unjustified. This is like a European style boarding house where the attendant/owner may or may not be available at all times. My room had been recently renovated. All systems were functional. The bathroom was nicely appointed and the water hot. The bed comfy and a new appearing TV functional (on last morning, the volume was not working - user error?). All in all it was a pleasant stay. It is two blocks from Bourbon St. and 8 blocks from Canal Blvd. If annoyances like card keys not working or attendants not being present when you arrive and knock on their door would drive you nuts, then this is not your accommodation. If you are a 'go with the flow' individual then you will be happy there. The structure is a remodeled NO style Victorian. Kind of funky, not polished, a little folksy, and just fine by me.

The staff was very friendly. But we booked a deluxe king room, which was supposed to have a king bed, an extra sitting area and windows, which I would assume come standard with most rooms. Our room with a tiny room with a tiny queen bed, and no windows. I could not get any sleep. I felt like the walls were closing in on me. I thought I was going to have a panic attack and almost had to go sleep in my car. It was horrible! Our friends booked the same room, and there’s was amazing! Our room could have fit in their bathroom. They said it was because the air conditioner was out in our original room. They could’ve just given us a similar room and not the worst room in the hotel. The staff was friendly and was as helpful as they could be, but there was no resolution, and they didn’t even seem to think it was a very big deal, but I am quite furious about the whole situation. There was no manager on duty to help me get a refund so who knows if this will ever be resolved I will update my review if they compensate their mistake. .

Been to New Orleans a few hundred times never met a nicer guy than the man at the front desk, made us feel like family, gave us local tips an checked on us in our room. The rooms are newly renovated an super clean. This has moved to the top of our places to stay in New Orleans ⚜️ list.

We stayed here over a week ago and it was great! We were in room 83 on the third floor. Room was clean and smelled nice and had a comfy king-sized bed. The room was a little small and unfortunately no elevator to get to it but we hardly spent time there because hotel is so close to everything! Easy to get to and only a short walk to Bourbon street. Duwayne I believe is his name was amazing and gave us wonderful tips on where to park to save money and eat. Will stay here again. Great service and everyone was super nice! They have locked entry so can’t get in unless you’re staying in the hotel. Also, very quiet.

I’ve stayed at the inn on st Ann once before and had a great experience but this time it was not great. The location is perfect, that’s one of the best things about the stay. Last time I stayed there I had an exterior room near the courtyard and it was cozy and peaceful. This time I stayed in an interior room downstairs near the front desk (room 61) and could hear every time the entry door slammed..and it was loud. In addition, whoever was working the front desk woke us up at 7am by blasting gospel music so loud that we weren’t able to sleep through it. We stayed up pretty late the night before and was looking forward to sleeping in so that was pretty disappointing. I would stay there again but never in an interior room downstairs.

Best Hotel in NOLA, and I´ve stayed in a few... Staff is the friendliest I´ve ever encountered. Except one lady in the morning shift, she wasn´t as friendly or welcoming as the other personnel. Perfect location and very helpful staff, I look forwards to staying here again!

Booked a room about a month ago, the images on the web site are deceptive. We got room 72 and it’s basically a dark box with no windows. Extremely disappointed with the room. I mean it was a place to sleep but without a view to the outside there is no ambiance. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and it is in a perfect location only blocks from the French quarter and all the activity in the area. It would have been nice to have a small bistro table with a couple of chairs otherwise there is a bed, a very small coffee table with a coffee maker, an iron with an iron table and a hair drye. There is a wardrobe for hanging clothes and a safe. Also a TV with cable

The room was nothing like what was advertised. Room had holes in the walls, old dilapidated furniture, no hangers for clothes, safe did not work, bathroom was the worst of all. It was so small you had to schooch in then shut the door. Took 20 minutes to get warm (*not hot - warm) water to flow and it was only a small trickle that did not amount to much of a shower. The only good thing is the location. We were within walking distance to Bourbon Street. Definitely will not stay again or recommend to anyone. Took lots of pictures and video of everything.
