Stayed at the Inn while in town for business with Janus Motorcycles, and absolutely loved this place. Didn’t really get to chat much with Karen, but Kent was the friendliest, most accessible host I’ve ever stayed with. Enjoyed sitting up late in their living room chatting, and sharing conversation over breakfast each morning. |The perfect host, in one gorgeous historic home.

We spent two nights here to be in close proximity to Shipshewana. It was a great decision. We love this place! We were on the first floor in Room One. Comfortable bed, plenty of space, and great shower. It was no issue for us but I should mention the room doesn’t have a tv. There’s one in the shared living room that’s available. Our hosts, Karen and Kent, made us feel right at home. There’s a small shared refrigerator in the dining room we could use. It also had drinks for the guests. We enjoyed absolutely delicious breakfasts, tailored made for my wife who has Celiac and has to be gluten-free. They’re walking distance to downtown with restaurants and shops. And driving distance to visit Amish shops. Would stay here again if in the area.

I stayed at the Inn while traveling on business earlier this month. I had Room 4 (The Charleston Room), and it was wonderful! Quiet--despite the train that runs through Goshen quite often!--and clean!!! (I could hardly hear the train, by the way, which was a concern before I arrived since I am a light sleeper. It never disturbed me once.) ||||My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It felt very homey as even the special touches like the the carafe of fresh drinking water in the room, the flowers from the garden on the desk, and so on remind one of staying at a dear friend's home. The bed linens and mattress were extremely comfortable and the rainfall shower head was a luxury! ||||Breakfast in the morning was a delight--local, organic, gluten-free, and vegan options in place. For those accustomed to eating healthier, "real food" fare, breakfasts at the Inn are perfect. And...there's amazing coffee! Karen and Kent create a welcoming, hospitable atmosphere in the dining room as well as throughout the home. Oh, and relaxing on the front porch swing was the perfect way to start the day before heading down the road to business meetings! ||||The website mentions the COVID-19 precautions that the Inn is taking, and I felt very safe and cared for based on that. ||||I could not have been happier staying with Karen and Kent in their lovely, historic home. It was very difficult to leave such gracious hospitality and thoughtful comfort. Thank you, Karen and Kent, for making my stay delightful!

Karen and Kent are wonderful hosts! The house has been lovingly renovated. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and conversation with Karen who is a great cook. I stayed in the downstairs Egyptian room which was very comfortable and inviting. It is located at the edge of the downtown Goshen area which, to my delight as a native, has been restored. Great shops to explore. Don't miss staying at the Inn - you won't be disappointed. I'll be booking my stay for my next reunion!

Charming, lovely, and idyllic. Our stay at the 5th Street Inn was exactly what we wanted: quiet, friendly, and accessible. Within walking distance of anything you want from food & drinks to shows and entertainment. The Inn is run by a truly kind couple that make sure you are comfortable and able to recharge during your time away. Don't miss the breakfast that they prepare with fresh flowers and delicious food on every table. Truly, it was the perfect experience!

Inn on the 5th is where I go to share Goshen experiences with friends and family. Karen and Kent are welcoming hosts with sustainable beliefs. Their knowledge of what Goshen has to offer is vast. Goshen has wonderful shops ranging in tastes and treasures. Many restaurants include locally sourced food. There is a flourishing food co-op and Saturday farm markets. Several walking destinations to enjoy while staying in a beautiful, clean, enchanting and welcoming bed and breakfast. I love sharing this gem in Goshen!

We really enjoyed our time at the Inn on South 5th! The Innkeepers were friendly and very accommodating. We love the story of the Inn, learning the history from our conversation with the Innkeepers. Our room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the opportunity to relax in the parlor. We loved the front porch swing! The breakfasts both mornings were delicious. Also, the Inn is located within walking distance of downtown, which means easy access to shopping and restaurants. We felt like welcomed guests in the Innkeepers home.

What a delightful "headquarters" for our family biking adventure to Goshen and the surrounding "Amish Country." The seven of us took over all of the guest rooms at the Inn on South 5th for two nights and so enjoyed our stay. Kent and Karen were great hosts, taking the time to chat with us as well as share a few must do's for the area, yet allowing us to feel as if we had the whole house to ourselves. Uryna prepared a lovely breakfast one morning and was helpful and friendly as well. The Inn is tastefully restored and eclectically decorated. Each of the 4 rooms has its own recently renovated bathroom. The large dining room was a great gathering place for the morning family style breakfast. The most delightful feature was the expansive front porch where we gathered for happy hour at the end of a long day of biking. The town of Goshen is charming with many interesting spots only walking distance from the Inn. This is a fabulous find.
